Off to drop my car off. 5 years old 1 payment left and the transmission is crying for help. The drain and fill did nothing to help. So it will be more serious now. Hoping it’s a code issue with a computer fix or an easily replaceable part or two. Either way it won’t be an inexpensive fix. Tom, don't know what model year or type of vehicle you have, but many of the OEM's have "Powertrain Warranty Coverage" where it covers major assemblies/components for issues such as this. The OEM's all have varying months and mileages they cover, some may be 6 years, 100,000 miles, others 5 years and 60,000 miles, so you may want to check that availability to save yourself some money. Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Good afternoon Spies! Sitting in a basement in Detroit this time, hoping the WiFi holds out (it's crashed repeatedly for two days). Less busy today than yesterday, but it's picked up some after lunch. If any of you are curious about what I'm doing, you can check it out at MyFreeHeartTest.com, and perhaps sign up for an event near you. Did my second Fit For Golf workout last night, detailed somewhat on the testing thread. It was a little tougher last night as I picked up the intensity, and I felt it more afterward and this morning. Can't wait to see what treasures Jamie is going to unveil on the testing front by the end of the week! Also hope I can get in on the community call Thursday. Thanks, but being in sales and traveling, I’m well over any warranty period due to high mileage. So I’m screwed. Either I fix it, sell it for scrap value or purchase another car. Not wanting another 5 years of payments I’m going to fix it. Too good a car to toss it away. Popular Post sirchunksalot
@Tom the Golf Nut, man I hate hearing about the issues with your car. Transmission repairs are no joke and wouldn't you know it goes out right before you pay it off? I haven't heard anything on mine, so I'm hoping they say least for an idea on what's going on. I've got to also get my lawn tractor running because my yard is a mess and it looks like I'm going to have to push mow it. I got a new battery and just replaced the starter solenoid and I can't get a peep out of it as far as starting. Looks like I'm going to have to find someone to fix it. Yay. @Tom the Golf Nut Edited April 23 by sirchunksalot Northern Monkey, William P, MattWillGolf and 10 others 4
Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Good evening Spies! Just found an amusing video on YouTube and thought I'd share. Bryson DeChambeau played six holes with a kid's starter set from Walmart: Driver, 7-iron, pitching wedge, putter. Short, extremely whippy shafts; has to crouch way over to take his stance. And somehow, playing with four whippy clubs he'd never used before, he makes six straight pars. And could have made a couple of birdies along the way. Popular Post EasyPutter
Good morning MGSpies from wet cool WNY on this community call eve Wednesday with coffee ready to go and work computer up on the network already on this zero commute workday had a good day in the office yesterday buzzing on the announcement for testing the Callaway Smoke Driver and finally able to tell people After work, a few dangerous-crazy drivers on the commute to the golf course had me take an alternate route and arrived safely with them forgotten before I parked the vehicle. Once season pass was in hand, headed out after a 5-some (they happen at Caz when there's few others playing) that were at least a full hole ahead of me when Justin @just52887 caught up to me after his workday and we only waited for the 5-some on the 3rd green to clear, and clear they did leaving the course under threat of rain. We got in the full 9 with rain only beginning to arrive finishing up 8 for another round in the sub-80 minute pace - today might make 3 in a row! AA and Delta both have flights that arrive at ILM around midnight and it seems like I'm always on them. Including tonight. I'm gonna be pretty useless tomorrow. Fortunately I really don't have to do any work tomorrow. If you're an NFL fan staying for the draft might have been exciting. Popular Post Wheelieb
Morning All, First and foremost @CSiders12 I am sorry to hear about your family's loss, my deepest condolences to you and your family. Yesterday I had my first 9 hole round with the Sqairz Velo shoe. I can say that for someone who has a good gathering of shots that could be on the left or right side of the hole, I found most of my shots on the left half of most of the holes. I don't know if this is due to the shoes for their claim as better dispersion or not. but I do know that my feet didn't hurt. Only downfall at the moment is that my feet were wet from sweating. This may have been due to the socks I wore, but we will see as the testing continues. Hope everyone finds the peace they need today.
