Popular Post Swood1994
Good morning forum folks! Played one of my best 9-holes at league last night with a +1 37 with 2 birdies! My game felt really good, and my OG Paradym must be trying to prove something to stay in the bag because it was on fire! Haircut got cancelled/rescheduled this morning so was able to start work a little earlier. I have to leave around 4 to go and hopefully buy the new family vehicle we have been looking at. I basically told the sales rep on the phone i'm not messing around and I plan on leaving with a car but it's up to them to make that happen. I absolutely hate car shopping and want to make this as quick and painless as possible. Due to this I'm not sure I can make the community call but will try and pop in if I can. So great to see the Opus wedge test this morning. The bangers just keep on coming, great work forum staff! Outside of all of that just another standard workday. I hope everyone has a great day and quick end to the work week! Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Ran the game yesterday and played really well. According to ShotScope my best drive was a 290 yard monster...maybe I bounced off a sprinkler head for the assist!? Unfortunately my team mates did not play so well and my 3 over 76 went unrewarded again. We have a new guy who joined up with the Wild Bunch two weeks ago, and I now have 5 people who flat refuse to play with him again. Glacial is the way he moves about the course. One of the guys who played with him yesterday - oh that team showed up at the club house a full 45 minutes after the second to the last team arrived - took a video of his practice swings and I timed them. The routine is set up, waggle, waggle, waggle, stop, p a u s e swing then pose. That process takes 18 to 20 seconds and he does it 3 to 4 times every shot. Putting is worse. Anyway it has fallen to me to be the one who says speed up or find another group to play with. Yeah.... Popular Post RichL85
Morning to the community. This morning is starting off by slamming a couple cups of coffee to try to wake up after a pretty late night. I always feel off when my schedule is messed with. Last night was one of those nights with my brother in law cooking for everyone. Was delicious, and I enjoyed the night off from cooking, but I'm definitely not used to eating dinner at 11pm. Things are about as good as they can be given the current situations. The kids are excited and dreading going back to school next week, so working them back to their usual sleep routine is going to be priority number one starting this weekend. I've got a long day of work ahead of me between lab tests, meetings, and my class lecture, but I'd rather be busy than bored, so I've got that going for me at least. Almost to the weekend, which will bring about an eerie sense of quiet I'm sure as our current house will go from 9 people to 4 on Saturday. It's been good to see family for the first time in 5 years, but having that many people around is exhausting for me. Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Good morning Spies from the rain-soaked Casa! NWS says we've gotten more than 8 inches of rain since Tuesday afternoon. I believe it. Last night we got 1.41 inches in a single hour; talk about raining cats and dogs, I think there were some tigers and Great Danes coming down. Another inch or two expected tonight. Fortunately the soil around here is largely sand which drains well; if we had clay or something we would have massive flooding. No nearby creeks to overflow either, although there are two catch ponds nearby for storm drainage; I bet they are getting close to the top. Popular Post Kenny B
Good Morning everyone!! Hope you are having a terrific Thursday and dreaming of the weekend!! Watching the Golf Olympics and can’t believe Nellie took a Quad on a par 3… from 2 off the lead to 6 back. Work to do now this weekend!! Went to the course yesterday for practice. A guy was watching me pitch balls onto the pitching green; I was practicing Dan Grieve’s Release 2 technique and stuffed 6 balls close to one of the pins. Later he came up and said he liked my swing. Sometimes it can be a dumpster fire! He said he struggles with his game… tall, slender guy, and he said that everyone thinks he should hit the ball a long way. He only hits it 260-280 yards… hahahahaha!! And here I am hoping to get to 210 yards! However, he can’t break 80. At least I have that going for me. I saw the testing opportunity for the Callaway Opus wedges. I’d be interested if they had full-face grooves. It seems like most of the people signing up didn’t read the fact that the testing is for TWO wedges; people are listing the 3 clubs they want. I think my wife got them during a sale for around $50. I wore Altras all last season! They were great for my game but completely wore them out. jbern, Northern Monkey, Byrnzee and 4 others 6 1 Quote I could play golf every day and learn something new each time. BIG STU
36 minutes ago, Jim Shaw said: my grandkids don't go back until the 1st week in september, maybe yours start their summer holidays a bit earlier In the counties NW of us they started last week. My county was supposed to start this week but due to the weather they have not went yet. Growing up in Charlotte NC we started the Tuesday after Labor Day. Eastern NC where my grandparents were from they started 2 weeks later than we did because of the Tobacco harvest season. But most of the time in my area we had snow days which they rarely had. We usually let out the same time usually the first Monday in June. At the time state law dictated we have at least 180 days of school. One year which was unusual we had like 3 weeks of snow and ice and we only went like 175 days that year but the state did an amendment, and we got out as normal cksurfdude, Byrnzee, William P and 4 others 6 1 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- - 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R---- Irons 5 thru PW 1980 Macgregor VIP Hogan Apex steel shafts--- SW -- Cleveland 588 56* S-400 Sensicore --- LW Vokey 58* SM5 L grind--- Putter 1997 Scotty Cameron Santa Fe Fluted Bulls Eye shaft--- Bag TM Flex Lite Stand---- Yeah I know only 11 clubs G

Popular Post MattWillGolf
A bit of follow up to my earlier post. Met my new doctor at my physical this morning. Turns out he is a golf nut. Has over 30 putters. Five of which are Lab Golf putters. He even reshafted his Link.1 himself which is his current favorite. snoopy79, William P, Cfhandyman and 9 others 10 2 Quote Anyday Maverick Black Ops 7-way 0311 Black Ops 8° w/Mitsubishi Diamana S+ 60 0311 XF 3 wood 16° w/Fujikura Motore X F3 0211 Hybrid 3 19° w/Project X Even Flow Riptide G410 Crossover 4 w/Mitsubishi Tensei CK Pro Blue 70 Paradym X 6 - GW w/True Temper Elevate MPH Official Forum Test SM9 54°/12° D and 58°/12° D w/KBS Tour 110 DF3 w/BGT Stability ONE Forum Test Shot Scope Pro LX+ Pro LX+ Official Forum Test Pro V1 3.5+ Tests No Longer in the Bag ER11v 34” Evnroll ER11v Official Forum Test
