Between working at the plant and this hot house the devil's lair is sounding like a vacation.. Hit em straight spies, and if u slice tell them @3Putt4Double made u do it!

I was in the same boat this week @3Putt4Double!  I had to replace the whole unit.  Good luck!

Watching the Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald Links, not far from Royal Troon. Temp around 60, 30 mph wind. I'm like boy, does THIS look familiar. Nae wind, nae rain, nae golf. Not raining, but they sure have the wind. Minjee Lee currently leading, Lydia Ko following up on Olympic win with more strong play, three shots back.

LOL glad to see you also survived the ride in the Cavalier.

When I was in the towing business I had this lady dispatcher who worked part time. She also worked at the Waffle House. She had a Cavalier she had since new. Now she was from Cleveland Ohio and that poor thing has spent it's life up there. Needless to say it was a rust bucket. She called me one day crying said her car was broke at the Waffle House. I said ok I will come get it. Yeah broke was an understatement. It had literally rusted in two and folded up right behind the Driver's seat. She was pulling into the Waffle House to begin her shift. She had pulled down the side street and it broke. To give her credit she did have the presence of mind since it was front wheel drive to stand on it and get it off the street. Of course I drug it on the roll back and took it to the yard. She went on to work and I told her when she got off of shift to call the yard and have someone come get her and take her home. She got her stuff out of it the next day and we took it to the scrap yard. She ended up buying some kind of fancy Ford Escort. Every time someone mentions a Cavalier, I think of that.

Yeah this was an Iowa car too lol.  Its why I ended up dumping it.  Powersteering rack was failing and leaking badly.  Look up video to see what a repair entails.  I find a video on how to do it.  It was TWO 30min edited for time videos by a professional mechanic.

I took one look at that said, NOPE.  You had to drop the front subframe and well... the previously mentioned rust bucket state it came from that wasnt gonna happen easily.  So I sold it to my neighbor for 250 for spare parts for his wifes sunfire (same damn car).

think it had north of 220k on it and was also burning more than a qt of oil between changes.

Good afternoon MGS!

Man today got away from me, feels like I just sat down with my coffee 20 min ago. Not much going on here other than my son found a bird in the yard that tumbled out of its nest. I went washed hands and arms opened a fresh pair of work gloves and put the poor lil thing back in the nest hopefully the mama doesn't abandoned them. We are prepared to dig up worms and feed them small enough bites according to my boys lol. The coolest thing was the lil bird had no fear I gently scooped it up and all it did was open its mouth wide and squeak at me for food! Fingers crossed the mother keeps on being the mother, but a small part of me wants a little bird side kick 😆

@Rickp That must've been a good time watching that loading show there! I know I would've done the same as you snapped pics and watched over a cup of coffee.

Yup, at one point they almost lost it.  My neighbor was going nuts!

Good Morning everyone!  No golf, but my wife and I are headed to Pendleton Oregon in 30 minutes to watch the Epson Tour Ladies tournament at Wildhorse GC.  Tickets are only $5.  I love this course and it’s reasonably inexpensive to play, but it’s 75 minutes away.  Should be lots of fun.  We’ve been to two LPGA majors, one in Rancho Mirage CA, and one at Sahalee north of Seattle.  Also, been to the Champions Tour PGA at Sahalee and the PGA at La Quinta and TPC Scottsdale.  We will see how the young (and older) Ladies play today!

Best of luck if you are playing today!!

That sounds like fun.  I really liked Wildhorse GC the year we had it in our PNW Spy Meetup itinerary.

Good morning spies! Running the game again today. Probably will set it up so we count 2 out of 3 on the front and 3 of 3 on the back.  That makes it quick for me to do the scoring.

I need it to be quicker as it is supposed to top 110 all weekend so my wife and I are heading to the mountain retreat for a few days.

Wednesdays cha cha cha (score 1 player on hole 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and repeat) was a bust for my team. One of my players says he has memory problems and called his score out low for the first 4 holes. I pulled him aside and told him that will not do. If he keeps it up I will disqualify him (and consequently the whole team) and suddenly he kept his score right.

He cheats simple as that. For the last year we have constantly told him to stop. Now next week when all of the guys who work and run our group get together two of us are going to insist we boot him out. It costs 15 bucks to get in the game and 5 to get in the skins. We play 3 times a week and average 20 players a day. That is 400 dollars in payout back to the players. In the first half of this year we took in and put back out over thirteen thousand dollars and this cheater took home about a thousand of those dollars.

It is time for that to end.

Ack...another morning rant...

That's really unfortunate. It seems to me that the more money involved, the more likely players will suffer memory failures or be temporarily math challenged 😊.

Our games are:

  • $2/side and $2 total. Typically you win or lose $2 or $4.
  • KP's making par are worth $1 from each player.  KP birdies $2/player.  If you three putt, you owe all other players $1.  If someone in the group behind takes you out on the 3 putt KP, you pay that player $1.

I have no exact data, but based on my observations of the two foursomes we have twice a week, over the past year, I'd be real surprised if anyone wins or loses more than $80 year.  That keeps the incentive to cheat pretty low.

@GolfSpy_KFT I'm really looking forward to hearing the results of your GT fitting, their new offerings are intriguing and I'm curious to hear if their claim of more ball speed are true. I'm also excited about your wedge fitting, like you I'm probably looking to replace the SnakeBite's next season since I like new wedges.

I made it through the day at work without incident to my knee. It's still swollen but really didn't cause me any issues and I was completely paranoid about bumping it against anything. It actually bruised on the side and didn't on the kneecap where I landed.
