Well, within the same test, they're obviously going to use the same clubs and keep everything as tight as possible. But comparing two tests two years apart? There's a lot of room for other variable to creep in and make it tough to compare the data with any sort of scientific accuracy. (Recall that the first ball test had the MTB-X as the all-star standout performer and then, despite it being the exact same ball, was suddenly very middle of the road in the most recent test.) Duxman130
LA Golf and PXG need to be included in the golf ball test. A separate head-to head test: ProV1 - ChromeSoft - TP5 - Z-Star. Criteria using Iron Byron: carry, overall distance, dispersion, spin. Run it using 3 swing speed ranges and multiple clubs. This, along with golf ball quality testing puts the golfer in the best ball for his/her budget. PhilM75072

This, along with golf ball quality testing puts the golfer in the best ball for his/her budget. If you have read any of the documentation provided on the test you would see that both the LA golf and PXG balls are included. why a separate test, they are being compared side by side with all the balls. they are doing 85, 100, and 115 even though industry experts have said that isn’t necessary since the result will be linear across speeds. Meaning if you are 92 your values will be halfway between 85 and 100. If you follow their social you will see that they are capturing that data. Watch the after show portion of their last podcast; per their social they are also putting together another episode specifically about the ball test GolfSpy SAM 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: XCG7 Beta 15* w/Fujikura Fuel Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: Sacks Parente MC 3 Stripe Backup Putters: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W, TM-180 Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

Gooseneck94
Excited to see the results from this years test and see which manufacturers took note from the 2021 test and made actual improvements. 2021 test definitely made it easier to select a golf ball Instead of just looking at the back of the box and seeing the same chasing trajectory lines every manufacturer put out. Gamed the ProV1 Left Dash and seriously the longest ball I have played with. Didn’t perform for me all that great from 100 yards and in but off the driver face easily sent them 15-20 yards further than the Tour BXS that was my go to.
