Jake’s Golf Journey - WITB 2023-Present

Hello all my MGS friends as I am still fairly new I figured I would do a proper introduction of myself and my bag.

 

I have put off this post mostly because I didn’t want post a WITB and immediately have to update it, so I figured I would wait. But here we are now with a full golf bag ready to get the season started in Southeast Idaho. Below is a breakdown of my bag to start the 2023 Season and the accessories I use to try and suck a little less everyday.

4/26/23 - Changed to the Titleist ProV1x #23 (2023)

5/11/23 - Changed to Cobra AEROJET LS 9° Driver & A new bag, Vessel Player IV DXR Pro

3/1/24 - Changed to the Cobra AEROJET Max 15.5° 3 Wood (moved the LTDx Max to the backup)

3/2/24 - Changed to the Cobra King Tec 19° 3 Hybrid with a KBS Tour Hybrid Proto Shaft

Well I have made my first change in the bag from my initial post, which did not take long. 

I have made the move to the 2023 ProV1x, I decided to get a custom number option and selected the #23.

Don't feel bad if you have a revolving door of clubs... that is often the normal around here. 

Pretty sure I was going to stick with the set I had throughout the season and have since changed just about everything...

Another day another update. First off is a brand new driver after only 2 months of the Cobra LTDx LS. Not to worry though, it was an amazing driver and I will probably end up picking up one again as a backup in the near future. The LTDx LS has been replaced by an Aerojet LS due to cracking the LTDx LS face. Took it out for a spin today on the range and I am like a kid at a candy store, it was a dream to hit.

Next up is the 'B' portion of WITB. Out with the Nike Sport Lite and in with the Luxurious Vessel Player IV DXR Pro. I decided on the 14 way top as I am a bit OCD when it comes to club organization. On first carry it is really nice and the strap does an amazing job to distribute the bag as it isn't exactly the lightest Stand bag on the market.

On a side note a backup putter was added to The Vault, a Cobra GrandSport-35. No plans on replacing the SuperNova in my bag but you never know with clubs.

Well it has been a long time since my last post here and a long time even since my last update to the bag. However, I do have news on a new member of the family. Found a very good deal on a Aerojet Max 3 Wood head on eBay that was too good to pass up, and I really wanted to match my driver. So here we are. haha

Another day another delivery. Today's mail call came in the form of a new hybrid. The last custom fitted club to add to the bag. 

Cobra 19° 3 hybrid paired with a KBS Tour Hybrid Prototype 85g Stiff. It is cut down 3/4inch so I have some heavier weights on the way to balance it out.
