They are amazing dogs, incredibly loving and loyal.  Very smart too.  I remember we had to sign a commitment and pay a deposit at UGA that upon doing the mri we would agree to surgery if that as recommended as a result.  Estimated cost was around $5000.  I remember thinking at the time that would be the cost of a trip to Europe or a cruise.  But we weren’t ready to lose him.

I’ve often thought of that decision and while the trips would be nice, they’d only be for a week or 10 days.  So far we’ve had one of our best friends ever for the past 6 years (14+ total) and counting.

Completely agree! Them and Great Danes! Our house is full!!! 4 weens and one Great Dane 😂 lots of los poopies!!! IMG_5918.jpeg.a7b58dff9fe9d0ea33bc23b6fd657efa.jpeg

Evening spies! Relaxing on the recliner at the moment.  Today was a whirlwind for me. It went by so fast!!!

Original plan was to hit the range, break in the orange whip in, then 9 holes at the par 3 course

10 balls into the large bucket, one of the regulars asked me to join them as a fourth in their skins game.

I had fun, had some amazing shots,  and some not so amazing putts.

Does anyone else do what I do when watching foolsball? What I do is put it on the tv, then mute the tv and listen to the home broadcast. I have SXM so I can pause it or pause the tv to sync the sound. I just can’t listen to the broadcast especially ESPN.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Good evening everyone! Trust you all had as nice a day as I did! The weather was absolutely beautiful, mid 80's, clear skies, and light wind.

For @rkj427 and @Lefty11,

While I have had previous Titleist sponsored fittings, I have to say Alyssa Moe (fitter), exceeded my previous sessions. While all were well organized and professional, she took it further with engaging conversation which helped keep me loose and relaxed throughout the process and not rushing to hit balls. Started as all have stated previously, by setting baseline with current equipment. My TSR1 9* w/TPT 17Lo produced an average carry of 225yds with rollout to approx 250yds. Did tag one, as I am apt to do at times, that carried 248yds with rollout to 273yds, but it was the exception. Ball speed 138, launch angle 10*, spin rate 3700-3800 rpm.

She set up my TPT shaft in the GT2 9* to begin the process which resulted in carry and total distances similar to the TSR1. The sound of the GT2 was muted to me and not as crisp as I expected from a Titleist driver. Ball speed 138, launch angle, 10*, spin rate 3700 rpm, way too much spin. Replaced head with 10* loft and had no significant change in performance.

Moved to GT3 10* and while we had about 2mph gain in ball speed the launch angle and spin rate numbers only changed marginally to 10.5* LA and 3400-3500 rpm spin rate. We then moved to the Tensei blue 1K shaft stiff flex and which improved the spin rate down into the 3000 rpm range with a launch angle of 11.5*, however, I didn't care for the shaft as it felt dead at impact to me. Next, we moved on to Project X HZRDRUS Black 6.0 which produced a spin rate of 2800 rpm avg with launch angle up to an acceptable 12*.  We then put the shaft back int the GT2 and the previous results did not transfer. With that we ruled out the GT2 head.

She started explaining the GT4 is a different animal and not for everybody, but we would give it a shot and see if it was suited for my swing. She put the HZRDRUS Black in the GT4 10* and that is when the miracle happened. Ball speed rose to 147mph, launch angle remained at 12*, spin rate fell right in line at 2300-2400 rpm, carry increased to 245 yds avg and total increased to 268 yds on avg.  SOLD!!

Needless to say, I am one of the approx 8% of golfers that get fitted to the GT4 and the club should be here in 2-3 weeks.

I must also say that specified stock shaft going in as I have a Ventus Black TR 6 S, to experiment further with upon receipt.

When I got home and reported to the CEO, she just shook her head and walked into the other room... 🤦‍♀️🤣

What a farking day!!! Good evening spies, the Commander’s car broke on l-25 this morning and it took me all day to take care of it. I’m thinking the idler pulley froze and shredded the belt. Farking USAA wasn’t any help because she needed to leave it and move on. Their app uses your location from your smartphone. I tried to talk to someone, always got sent back to the app, well that pissed me off so I said “fark it and I’ll do it myself” got a trailer from a friend and hauled it to my buddy’s dealership to get fixed. Would have done it myself but just don’t have the time right now and I need it back. Anyway she’s 🔥 😡 😡 at me for whatever reason. No freaking golf, had to cancel that and my dr appointment so I could take care of the farking car. 🤯 🤯

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Sounds like we had a similar day, mine was just in the morning… she’s not mad though, except that she’s getting Goodyear tires instead of BFG’s… so, I got her Duratrax. 💪🏼

Hello again and good evening! I forgot to mention that Lucy (the ween) is back to her normal goofy self! Thank you all for the well wishes! Also haven’t done this in a while; here’s some funnies:

Not sure if my day compares to @Erin B but had my own hell of a day. Whenever we have a state testing the kids are always a bit off. Today was way off for some reason. To top it off, there was a shooting a a nearby high school in our district between two of my former students with one being left in critical condition. Both students were violent in middle school with gang connections. It’s just sad to see this play out despite your best efforts as an educator. It isn’t the first time I’ve lost a former student to gang violence but it doesn’t get any easier. Tell your kids you love em and hug em tight.

Ugh I hate hearing that!  Just senseless.

Agreed.  Always nervous sending my kids to school.  Shouldn’t be like that.  It’s why I want to move to the middle of nowhere.  Not sure what to make of all of this stuff happening.  Just didn’t have to worry about it aside from a few bullies here and there when I was a kid.  Now, I wouldn’t even want to go to school.

Good evening Spies.

Sad to hear about the tough days @Preeway and @Erin B.

Many opinions on the rise in young people, guns, and violence, but clearly something drastically has changed from days gone by where respect for right and wrong and one another were more common and prevalent.

Hoping to get a round in tomorrow late morning with some friends who haven't seen each other for a couple months due to varying schedules.

So, the Goodyear tire place never finished my wife’s car today.  In fact they never started….  They claim that they called me and left a message.  Not so fast my friend…. No call.  I went in about a hour and a half before closing to see what was going on.  They said that they called as I mentioned, and that the locking lug nut is broken (duh, that is why it is there), and that they don’t have black lug nuts, but they’ll call me as soon as it is done.  Drove back by a little later (supposed to be open till 7) and it was gated and locked up.

I am not very pleased, and might have it towed to a different store.

Agreed!! It has always been my belief that it starts at home with the Dad.. These young kids don't want to work or have any responsibilities anymore.. No motivation to move out on there own and we as men need to make sure when they get to the age of independence, they know what to do and how to go about doing it! A gun is only an answer for a deer or an intruder, not someone who flirted with a girl u like.. It's getting out of control

So, they couldn’t get this broken lug it off. Rather than have them jack around with my vehicle I’m having it towed to Toyota.  What a frigging nightmare for a flat tire.

I used to be a Discount Tire employee a very very long time ago.  Unfortunately there isn’t one nearby or that would have been my go to.
