The Good Evening Thread

Good Monday evening spies!!! I’m finally done with work. I did also get my sprinklers blown out as well…winter is coming! I also uploaded my new blog article to be published tomorrow. This article took longer than the others because I tested with @Derek Eskam and @Puente37, with he being the player research subject specifically. Derek had a great deal of input and helpful insight. Puente37 was awesome and really got into this. It was a lot of fun and we continued discussing after golf. Oh, and Puente37 is also a lefty!!! A pretty good one at that! Happy birdie hunting!!!

We didn't get the northern lights or color changes but we got to see the comet Atlas this evening. My daughter is obsessed with space and wants to be on the moon.

What a night.. got out of work headed home to the family to eat dinner then headed out to my sister in laws to tarp off a leaking roof with a few sand bags back home to replace the circuit board in my furnace so we can finally get some heat I. The house and then continued to tidy up the basement a little as I’m moving my office from the 2nd floor to the there. Back up early (hopefully) to get back to work and close out 2025 forecast models!

Watched a replay of the 2005 US Open when Michael Campbell won being from New Zealand like me Tiger was 2nd 2 back, that was a brutal golf course setup Pinehurst No2 and Even with the card won the day and I'm saying that Golf courses are too bloody easy if they win 20-30 under the card

Good evening spies on a very chilly evening here in Wyoming. Just got off the course and probably had my best round of the year. What’s more important is I was “+” in approach. The first time this year.

It took me awhile to wander over to the good evening side.  Had the strangest round today weather wise.  First it was cool (6-9* C = mid forties), then a combination of sunny with windy conditions, migrating to overcast and finally rain.  Okay so far, a normalish day.  Then a front blew in and it got significantly colder, followed by hail and then sleet.  Only thing missing was the snow and I would have hit the trifecta.  Let me tell you snow bunkers are a fun challenge.  Overall, a thoroughly meh round to boot.  Have a great evening.

It is a lot of fun.  Tight, narrow, lots of trees and elevation changes.  Puts a premium on course management. i.e. you have to think your way around.  An absolute delight if your hitting the ball relatively straight, otherwise its an adventure to find your ball.  More often than not, you are finding someone else's ball.

I intentionally chose to officiate a basketball game near my local golf store, and I had the chance to try out the Black Ops irons tonight. Wow! I hope everyone had a great day. It’s a bit chilly here, but it should warm up just in time for my last round of the year this weekend.  Have a good night!
