I literally wondered the same thing as did my playing partners I lipped out the par put on 7 and the chip on 8 was 3" from being perfect....caught fringe and it checked up hard and left me like 25ft...and then I missed the come back putt at 4' which again lipped out

Thank god I didn't totally suck though, coulda shot a 45 or something and not wanted to show anyone the scorecard

My last two outings I have taken the RX ball out and have had a great amount of success with them using both driver and irons. It's hard to knock a great feeling ball, but around the greens is still a mystery with the Bridgestones. Going to try the RXS and XS soon.

You need the BX or BXS for greenside spin I've found. Honestly the BXS is basically midway b/w a V1 and V1X...closer to a V1X. I'm a guy without lots of spin, so my next set will most defs be bxs

I found that I can't control the spin on the XS because... I'm not very good. I'm also without lots of spin, and I've shockingly spun the XS up into the wind more than a few times, which is not great in Hawaii. The big cat switching off of the XS has me really wondering who the heck that ball is for?

Congrats on the ace! My first/only was also using a BX, but last generation's!

Final Review

Performance: The balls themselves are quite impressive. I saw a lack of distance in the long balls not carrying out some 10 yards, some courses that's negligible but sometimes i need to know its going to carry out that extra 10 if i try to go for it. It spins very well and has great stopping power. Everything would rival the Prov1 except for that long ball can get spinny.

Which moves me to my next round of testing i wanted to try, the mindset ball with the Titliest Prov1. While not as graphically impressive as the Bridgestone, it did work very similarly. I think the idea behind a more constructed pre shot routine, picking a target, visualizing a shot, and freeing your mind after this. As long as i could commit to this, the better tee shots i would have. I have also been in some swing changes so i realized if i stuck to mindset, it would help iron out the tee shots. In the tournaments without the mindset I performed awfully after testing these for a month and a half. Then going back to the process that these balls give, I am back to shooting lower scores.

Results Bridgestone: It was around a 8% increase in fairways with the bridgestone balls. However, i do feel like i was driving it the best at this time. This feeling comes and goes but still worked. I did win my first tournament with this golf ball so perhaps i will continue to use it just for that vibe alone.

Results titlies ProV1 post Mindset use: lead to a couple of low scores and couple of high scores but that's just golf. I will probably start marking my balls in a similar way as the Mindset to put the best of both worlds on one golf ball.

Mindset: 9/10

Bridgestone Tour B XS: 9/10

Played my final #10 round with mindset yesterday. Will finish compiling all the data and do my formal/final review later this week.

With the interesting thing being I played like a bag of hot traaasshhh on Sunday and still managed to shoot an 80 hitting 3 gir (zero on the front 9 )

I am pleasantly surprised with these golf balls. I played a few times with them at first and didn’t know how I felt. The mindset markers took a bit to get used to but once you zone in on them I found it to have a calming effect on me. I’ll be posting pics and stats in my next post.

Probably my last post on this. I never felt very comfortable with the arrow facing forward. I feel the line is too short. However with my last couple balls, I started flipping the arrow so that it faces my club. Let me tell you, positioned this was I feel it is giving me a better target line for the club head to follow and try to hit. Give it a try.

I promise an update next week! It was a tough decision, but mindset was my ball of choice for club championship this year. I played the best front 9 ever from that teebox, on absolutely lightning greens (only reason I didn't go lower, everything ran like 5' past the hole ). Took a triple on #10 from the worst tee shot I've ever hit in my life on that hole (and we play a tee box up and I only had to hit 5 wood ).Missed 2 birdie putts from inside 10' (one of them ended up as a 3 putt cuz slippery downhill). Still played so solid I'll be using it again today for round 2

I’ve done more testing between this ball and my normal prov1x with a line, then a line and a dot, and then no dot.

I miss significantly more fairways when I don’t line up the ball down the fairway or intended spot to start the ball. For me this ball comes down to more about the aiming aspect. When things start getting crazy during a tournament, the idea of having the fairway pointed for me is the main benefactor I’m finding. I don’t even notice the green dot by the time I get through my whole process.

The lining up definitely reinforces what I’m trying to hit. I still have about 6 of these balls so I’m still able to get more tests in and occasionally see how I’m playing with them. I played a whole tournament with 1 ball and played well so again, the anecdotal data is there for me to understand the concept of the ball. If I don’t use it in the future it definitely has taught me how to slow down in the midst of a tournament and think about where my target and fairway is.
