Wasn't my best round of the year.  Never got the pace of the greens figured out, and left myself with too many 5-6' putts on slopey greens.  Was a beautiful day and was a blast.

Played pretty good on a really windy day.  Had some bombs, and some short drives going into the wind.  My pw was 20 yards further hitting down wind, lol.

Difference was I made some putts today.

Didn't collapse on the last three holes like I did yesterday.  But I did have a wayward approach on the Par 3 17th....flared it out to the right....had about a 15 footer to save par.  Nope.  Good look on 18 for a bird but misread it and ended up 1 over.  Pretty straight forward round....had an eagle look two days in a row on 6.

Played one of my fall courses. Very decent round, was 3 over after nine, but then played the back nine at 1 under.  32 putt round with 2 birdies including a 32 footer for birdie. Thank you Lab rat.  You always have a chance with this putter.

Blue tees and first round in almost a month. Played my new PXG Gen 7 irons. Hit 13 greens and 6 fairways. Unfortunately, I had 33 putts. Just could get the putts to drop. Overall decent round to knock off the rust.

Finally somewhat got my act together. Found out I was not staying connected and was throwing the club around on the back swing. That was how I ended up hurting myself Monday after 9 holes. Had a back adjustment Tuesday and everything is lined back up. Played yesterday and was not stiff

Tee time 6:40 (still pretty dark) Walked off 18 at 9:03. Love morning golf! It has been 2 weeks since I played and it showed on the front. Needed to scramble to make 50. Much better swings on the back. 35 putts and still loving the TS-912!!

Another top round and pleased with how I'm stirking the ball. Tees were well forward again which made the par 4s easier and gave me more opportunities than I took. Lot of pars which could have been birdies but with sandy greens still, it was tough to nail longish putts. Hit a lot of GIR though which is really pleasing for a handicap like mine.

Finally a round without pain in my back. Played ok on the front, but played great on the back. Hit 6 fairways, 15 greens and 29 putts. I keep wanting to switch out the shafts in the PXG’s, but the currently the results won’t allow it!

Golf is funny.   From a 91 last week to a personal best 75 (+3) today.   Everything worked.   Putting was lights out, short game was on point, approach was great, and Driver was 99% awesome.   I even made good decisions from the relatively few bad places I found myself in!  I even managed to avoid psyching myself out.   Played the entire back 9 knowing exactly what my score was.

Finally got to play Mammoth Dunes at the Sand Valley Resort.  MASSIVE fairways and greens.  Our caddies were shooting the length of putts with range finders and our longest putt attempted was 28 yards.  Fun course and very playable. 

On 14, driveable par 4, a player in our group hit just shy of the ridge top that would shoot the ball down to the green.  Instead, his ball rolled across the fairway over 80 yards.

My best driving round of the year, 260 average including a couple of holes with less than driver and a long of 305.  11/14 fairways hit.  Putting was OK but I had 3 3putt greens on the back.

I'm both excited about the 82 and also a bit disappointed. Made 2 birdies with great putts on each (12 and 13') and had a nice up and down with a 15' made putt, but also 3-putted 4 times on the round including one for a double on a par 3. When I fix one thing another breaks...sigh.

I'm not sure I could've played better, to be honest. Drove the ball really well, none OB, And only found minimal trouble on a few holes. 

Stuck a 6-iron from 175-ish to about 2 feet (pic below), and made a nice birdie on a par 5.

8 1-putts, 29 total, on punched-and-sanded greens, which I'm more than happy with as a result. 

Just one of those days where everything feels pretty good. 

Wish I could go play tomorrow, too

Our winds have finally died down a bit, and now are averaging about 15 mph. Far less than Helene brought us at the end of the work week for sure.  With some additional rain last night, the course still was a bit wet.

Even with the soft fairways, new Titleist GT3 driver preformed pretty well.  The 64% fairways hit is a little low for me, but two of the five missed drives were less than 2 foot in the rough and one was past a dogleg and really didn't hurt me.  I did hit 17% of my greens in regulation, up a little from usual.  The five up and downs for par were accompanied with another three for bogies.  The 29 putts included an unusual three putt.  

I'm still getting adjusted to the new Titleist long game driver and fairway woods.  I drove the ball well (even though the fairways in regulation was a bit lower).  Probably my best was the GT2 seven wood into about a gusting 20-25 mph wind from 145 yards par 3.  I put it about 9 feet pin high (and missed the putt).
