AWOL In Ohio

I've been a little absent lately. Ok, a lot absent. Not even sure if I've ever posted a hello here in the intro's section. So lets see, my name is Nick, I live in Columbus, Ohio. 

There's not a lot to tell. I've been buried under the weight of rehabbing a house for the past year and a half and it hasn't left me a whole lot of time to play let alone hop on here and post anything half meaningful. Throw in the time I've had to spend training my dog, a one year old german shepherd named Bogey, and my free time just melts away. After sitting here all winter and watching the snow fall like crazy.(and more today) I figured I'd pop back into forum life once again. I've lived most of my life between, Ohio and western Pennsylvania with a two year layover in Worcester, Mass. My favorite courses are still in the Wheeling, WV area and I usually end up down there about 8 times a year to play. Can't really think of anything else other than it's really nice to log back in, read through the posts and see that everything is as comforting and familiar as it was the last time I was here. I'll probably go on a posting frenzy in the next couple weeks or so and then taper off once the weather breaks and I can get back out to play again. Which will probably be June or July of 2015...Oh dear lord when is the snow and wintry death going to subside? All my whining aside, it feels good to be back on here. Now I've got a few hundred pages of posts to catch up on so I'll be on my way.

Wow, we have a lot of Buckeyes here.  Theoo and I had planned on getting together and playing a few times this year.  I'm about 3 hours from Cincy, in southern IN, but I have business in the area, so I planned on making a few trips.  Lets get an event planned for this summer.

I've never played a tournament.... not sure I have the game for it. Rain Tree is a nice course. I've played it a few times.

Are you sure it's the right Rain Tree. I've played it a few times myself and never heard of it referred to as Rain Tree South.

 

On another note, I definitely don't have the game for a tourney.

My mistake guys. We are at Fowler's Mill, Shaker Run, and Cook's Creek--not Rain Tree. But just as a heads up, our tournaments are all flighted based on handicap, so you would be competing against people with the same skill level. If you get a chance to spread the word about us, please do!
