Iron head clones.

With clones, you get what you pay for.  Typically, they are of inferior materials and inferior workmanship.

When I was younger, I played Pinemeadows because thats all that I could afford.  They were OK but once I got a namebrand set, it was like night and day.

I'm looking for some feedback on a company called Proseriesgolf. They are selling a TaylorMade SpeedBlade clone head called Heater BMT II. This head has a polymer insert like the speedblade and I'm interested in its performance.

"Looks like" won't mean "works like". You will do yourself a favor by spending the same amount of money on a previous model of a legit brand than spend whatever they want for a look-alike current set.

OR, spend the same money on components and be happy.

I am a big proponent of the component route. Now when I was in the golf business I did build a lot of clones but that was what our customer base wanted. Now we did put some thought and engineering into them. Like everything else some clones are better than others. We did buy some quality shafts on closeout so we could offer a good deal. I think I stated somewhere the other day that I still have a lot of old  Rescue clones in bags all over this beach. But I think seriously if you are a better player or want to be one you should go with OEM or custom components.

Components do not equal clones - this very important to keep in mind - there are good component companies out there - Maltby comes quickly to mind.

If you don't have the where with all to build your own set (I don't, no shame in that) and want to save money you will be much better off buying a used set or a new set that is a few years older than going with clones.  Even if the clones somehow produced out of the box they are far more subject to defects and will wear out very quickly.

Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  Aldila  R flex   - 42.25 inches

SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft

Ping G410 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Srixon ZX5 MK II  5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex

India 52,56 (60 pending)  UST recoil 75's R flex

Evon roll ER 5 32 inches

It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD
