2 tickets and a hotel room for the Ravens home opener in September for my son's 2022 Christmas present. We had to wait for the schedule to come out and him to decide which home game he wanted to go to. I could have gone back home for what this is going to cost!

How bad are the ticket prices? I have Eagles season tickets and like clock work the prices go up every year and the secondary market only gets hit harder.

I was meant to be March 2024 but will probably now be March 2025. Tickets for 3 will be around US $6,000.

I paid $383 for 2 plus another $390 for the room for 2 nights. Then we'll have fuel and food on top. If I make it out for $1200 all in I'll be surprised.

So far i like it. The white-hot micro hinge face on the seven which was installed with the stroke lab shaft was marshmallowy and loved harder golf balls. This seems again after only a few putts more in-between that and the ping fetch I own. Oh and toe and heel seems far more forgiving and responsive.

Recently bought Mizuno jpx 923 hot metal irons, received them last night. Amazing feel, great when you center it up! Overall great irons

Ordered Project X LZ 6.0 shafts to put in the CB57s.  It will be a minute before they are here and installed but very excited. 

I am kinda bummed that I likely have the wrong shafts in my 223s (KBS Tour Lite).   I may have to swap those too.  That will teach me to pay for puring, I guess.

While Callaway Pre-owned was having a warehouse sale last week, I had a couple big Modelo Negras on Cinco de Mayo and went shopping. On a different thread, I’ve talked about my fascination with muscle back irons. There was a 5i-PW set of Apex MB irons at a price I couldn’t pass up, so in the cart they went. Which then led me to thinking about the gaps on each end of that set, in turn that led to me selecting a Rogue ST Max 7W on the high end and a 50 degree MD5 on the low end. 
 

The box arrived today, so I had to get them to a range immediately. 2 initial takes from the range session. While I will go into greater detail re: the irons on the other thread, my first impressions of these irons and how they perform on natural turf is best summed up as: Sweet Mary and Joseph! Absolutely stunned at how well I hit these!

The 2nd impression, which pertains to the 7W: Now, I understand. I’ve heard talk of 7 woods being cheat codes, but I didn’t get it. Now I do. High launch, lands soft as a mothers touch? Yes. Please.

Found this lefty Volkey 54* Wedge in the lefty bin at the used store and they usually have nothing in that bin but like 5 old club that you need to check your imu form before touching.

It had some old sticker gunk on the back and shaft. I cleaned that off. Thought the dirt on the grooves would clean up more bit it didn't really change.

Loft is already as low as it gets at 8* with the ST-Z 230 and all-fit adapter.  Tee height is tough for me because I have found a height that allows me to center contact way more often than before but I may experiment a little more to see if I can come up with something. Thanks for the tip!

maybe ball placement in stance? I just throwing out stuff to try, no expery just someone who who has empathy for your frustration lol. Alos what ball are you playing? Is it possible to switch to a lower flighted ball and get the results you want?

sticker glue may have been lead tape.  running a groove sharpener through it might not hurt

All good. I’m playing a Vice pro Soft ball. It fits my irons/wedges so well and I love the soft feel off the putter.   It’s not the best fit for driver but it’s a nice compromise. I’m actually on the low side of spin with everything except driver.  I’m really excited about the potential of the LTDX LS 5.5.

I was also thinking the glue was from lead tape, it did clean up nicely.  Groove sharpener good idea.

Shafts also affect spin and height but I am not familiar enough will ALL the freaking options to know if yours is helping or hurting lol. I do know there are lower spinning and launching shafts out there for your driver you have now if you decide to stay with it. New shaft is USUALLY cheaper than a new driver especially a new driver with a quality shaft installed.

I’m not gonna get into the whole shaft conversation but….. actually I will leave it at that.  Haha

The shaft I currently game is more expensive that most complete drivers lol. I’m a believer in finding a shaft weight/flex/length that allows you to find center contact the most consistent and use the head to tweak launch and spin as the head has the most effect on that stuff.

I did recognize that shaft lol. The whole lighter weight autoflex spin off generation of shafts is fascinating.

Yeah I have always been a lighter weight shaft guy and autoflex had been amazing until I changed my iron swing for more consistency. The one that has me really intrigued is the free flex shaft. My local guy told me that quite a few customers(for you @GolfSpy SAM) have actually lowered launch with it compared to autoflex even though it is actually lighter

Really enjoyed these when I hit this earlier this year, they didn’t quite fit my eye or they’d be in the bag now!

I feel your pain on this. I tend to be a little lower launch higher spin with driver and higher launch lower spin with irons. Maybe one of these days I can afford a full bag fitting all at once and be able to dial it in a little more with my current delivery. And not to far off either way so I am pretty content enough with it for now as I just don’t have the time needed to truly get consistent with a swing change.

Should be interesting with your Takomo iron test. Players distance irons are all about high launch low spin lol
