sixcat
Dang... Came home and prepping for the trip to Aruba. Rounded the corner to check on the pet hamster as we needed to get her ready to go over to a neighbors house who was pet sitting for us. The hamster was stretched out on its side. Immediately saw the water bottle had fallen off the cage so it died from dehydration even though we keep our house cool in the 88* temp outside. Second time a pet decided to kick the bucket before a big trip. Not sure what to do, replace or come up with an excuse.... MDGolfHacker That stinks. My daughters hamster died last summer. One of the tubes to an upper level of the cage came apart as he was going up and landed on him when they fell. Fragile little guys. tony@CIC, MDGolfHacker and fozcycle

TheWahoo
This morning, like most mornings, I entered Route 50 towards the Bay Bridge, just to get off the Bay Bridge. Accordingly, I have learned the favorite spots for the Transportation Police and know how they just love to write tickets. This morning in my rear view mirror, I saw a car coming up on me like the "bat out of hell". I lowered my window, pointed down the road and did my best effort to gesture to slow down. When the blur went by, I saw what appeared to be a gesture commonly known as "the bird". The next thing I saw was the blue lights of a police car coming on. A bit further down the road, I saw the guy sitting in his car and the police officer had not yet gotten out of his. I almost posted this in the happy thread, because I must admit that a bit of a smile came on my face that I was hoping the driver would see. MattF
My happy went to a rant. There's no truck at Lowes tonight, so normally we would have the night off. But, they fired a driver last night and are pretty much forcing me to come in tonight to do deliveries. Unlike unloading a truck with 4 guys, deliveries take a lot longer because there's just 2 of us and we pretty much install what's being delivered if it's an appliance. So, instead of going home this arvo, taking the dog for a walk, cooking a healthy fish and veggies dinner for us and maybe having a beer or 2, I have to rush home, get changed then drive 20 minutes to the store, probably get yelled at for my poor attitude and deliver crap to people until at least 9 or so tonight, meaning I won't get home until quite nearly 10.
