Enjoy!

The mohu will be the easiest - plug in the coax and the 110 and you're good to go

I’m thinking of cutting the cord at our new house too, my concern is being able to keep up with 4 TV’s plus all the iPhones and iPads and laptops, how much bandwidth can I get at the house...will it be enough.

FYI - Hulu is running a deal for $0.99 per month for a year. The deal was supposed to end at midnight last night but it seems the response was greater than they expected and servers were unreachable for the better part of 7 hours. It looks like they extended the offer until 10 AM (PST) this morning.

I have two teenage daughters and our basement is the hangout for their friends as well.  We have as many as 15 devices streaming at one time without issue.

I will reiterate, equipment is as important as WIFI speeds.  The rented equipment from ISP's is complete garbage!  My equipment set-up is a page back for reference.

What type of download/upload speeds does you ISP offer?

Not sure about the new house, it’s a brand new subdivision in a rural area. When I asked about it I was told 150 mbps down was available through the cable company, not sure about anything else yet.

That would be more than enough.  Then you just need to figure out what type of router system to use.  I have about 2200 sq ft and I use my own modem and Google Wifi 3 puck mesh system to get great wifi reception everywhere in my house

I have been looking at the Google Pucks or the Netgear Orbi…..the new house is about the same size as yours 2245 sq ft.

I have the Goggle Wifi 3 puck system as well in about 2,500 square feet.  I love them.  Simple and easy to install and maintain.  I agree with jlukes, 150 MBPS will be more than sufficient for what you are describing.

For those of you looking to do some cord cutting, I found an FCC site that gives you your anticipated digital antenna reception by just entering in your zip code. I found the information to be pretty accurate. https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps

BTW we have a Mohu digital antenna and we're pretty happy with that,  add the Sling TV and we get everything we need without the expense and hassle of the cable co.
