Branson, MO Golf

Fellow Spies!

My wife and I are getting away from the kids for a few days next week.

Staying at Big Cedar in Branson, MO. Last time we went we played Branson Hills and had a blast.

Looking for recommendations and/or any hookups you may have. Don’t want to spend a ton of money (just not in the budget). Ideally around $50/golfer.

Thanks!

How soon are you going? You could possibly save some money with either one of these golf cards that are good for a couple courses in that area.

I live in Joplin and don't visit Branson often so I honestly wouldn't be much help for course recommendations or prices, but there are plenty of courses in that area or you could just drive north a little ways to Springfield also. I'll try to ask around for you though. Best of luck!

My extended family is going to the Branson area at the end of March and renting a big house for us all to stay in. My brother would really like to golf with my while we're there and we settled on trying to spend under $60 on a round. I just started researching and thought I'd come to the forum for advice. Does anyone have any suggestions?

@DriverBreaker & @marty lensing - did you end up finding good courses to play for around $70?

@Blaine Dye - I saw on the community map that you were the closest to Branson. Ever get there for golfing and have any suggestions?

@TR1PTIK - that 4 state golf pass looks like a great deal! They're a little far from Branson for our trip though. Do you know of anything closer to Branson that's similar?

I don’t remember finding a course for under $70.  That was pre-Covid as well.  We stayed and played close to a Big Cedar and the golf is pricey there.  Have fun!

@jbern I have driven to Branson and met some friends from Kansas and Nebraska there the last 4 years, and we found the best course for the money, and conditions was Branson Hull Golf Club. Course fees with carts and range balls was about $140.00 per player but compared to the $275.00+ for courses at the Big Cedar it was acceptable for similar views and conditions.

There also is a course built in a resort area, that may be around your price range, but when we looked at it last year, the conditions were far from acceptable for what the fees were.

Also added a link to an article with some courses that may also offer you different options.

Things have certainly changed since COVID. I would like to play one of the big cedar courses, but no one else wants to spend $250 for a round.
We were hoping to find a hidden gem somewhere.
