Lee Buck Trevino

Most of the younger generations might know Lee from His part in Happy Gilmore... now thinking back on it, his part in that movie could not have been more comical.  I don’t think he said a word, and if you have ever watched more than 3 seconds of Lee, he doesn’t stop talking... so for him to be speechless is quite funny.

The social outlets have been showcasing some of his shots, along with Seve lately... which I think is awesome.  But a golfer like Lee will probably never grace our television screens again, or Seve for that matter.

Winning the US Open, The Open, and the PGA 3 times each, coupled with some top 10’s in The Masters, (you can read about Lee boycotting the Masters on your own research)... coupled with 29 other tour wins, he had a stellar career.

I watched some of his late Champions Tour events.

Share some stories about Lee... but keep it clean and free of any bashing.  Thanks!

There’s a story about Lee hitting a bad shot and letting loose with some colorful language afterwards.  A lady standing close by objected to his choice of words.  Lee’s response?

”I’m sorry ma’am, I thought you were a tree”

Not sure if it is true, but I’ve heard stories of Mr. Trevino talking into turning pro/staking a young Tony Finau.
My favorite quote of his is “you can talk to a fade, but a draw won’t listen”
