Shoes for bad knees

I'm 35 and have had a few surgeries on my left knee.   Feeling way older than I should, but looking for great recommendations from those who really need good cushion.

I would look at brands like Hoka or Altra, I know Skechers makes a similar version that is slightly cheaper to the brands . They will be a bit expensive but it is going to find you the biggest amount of cushion to unload your knees

As someone with knee problems and foot pronation (amongst other stuff) I'd strongly suggest seeing a podiatrist and getting fit for custom orthotics.

Then you remove the basic insole of any shoe you buy and put in your orthotics.

Oh, and - you may also need more supportive shoes, not just cushioning.

Plus, depending on whether your feet tend to pronate vs supinate can also make a difference in what may work best for you!

Fully agree. I had 4 lots of knee surgery over 7 years. My knee problem was diagnosed in the late 90’s but by wearing custom orthotics I managed to get to the 2005 before I needed surgery. 

Using them also means you can wear most good quality comfortable shoes as you simply remove the inner soles and replace them with the orthotics.

My gamer shoes are either FJ SL Pro or Helix DNA.

Wearing shoes on your knees isn't going to help.  Just my opinion.
