BST seller for dummies

Was interested in selling on BST. How does the payment work as a seller? Do I share my paypal? Any other options? Do I get the payment and then ship? Sorry, sr golfer here who has not done this before.

No need to apologize at all. PayPal is probably the most common option since it's Goods and Services payment options gives you as the buyer some protections, though I think Venmo as recently added the same functionality. In those cases you could request payment as the seller from the buyers account or simply share your PayPal email so they can send you money. In the sales I have been a part of on both sides, shipping usually happens after payment. Of course you are welcome to figure out what works for you and the buyer/seller as my first buy on here was made via check in the mail.

Just seeing this but I’ll throw my $.02 in as someone who spends way to much time using the bst here and other forums. 
 

Some sellers will put their PayPal address in the ad some don’t. I don’t as I prefer some communication before making a deal. There are other options but PayPal is probably the most common. Just know that when a buyer pays you using Goods and services you will not get the exact amount agreed upon. PayPal will take a small cut. I believe it is still 3% but haven’t been paying to close attention lately. 
 

Another thing to note is making sure you are clear where you will ship and whether or not shipping is included in the price listed.  With rates going up shipping can get expensive depending on what method used, where it is going, and the size/weight of package. I just recently shipped a set of graphite iron shafts and a driver shaft in the same box and it cost me $35+ to ship it from Iowa to California via priority. 
 

Once you and the buyer agree to a price they will send payment. After you receive payment confirmation then you ship. This is different than waiting until you have access to the money as sometimes PayPal can hold funds until the buyer receives the item. I have found their policy random as it will not always hold funds.

 Once shipped provide the buyer tracking info and stay in communication with them until the product is received and the transaction is completed.
