@chisagI don't think anyone, however good they are, could putt well in your back yard. I honestly wish I could do something like that in mine since I hate mowing.

... Thanks, I hear ya. I do miss the grass but I like you, I REALLY don't miss mowing. My yard is a work in progress and while I won't ever have any grass, I will be adding more native plants and bushes this fall. I won't a hummingbird friendly tree/bush. Water is always an issue here in the desert.

... This is the 2nd half of my backyard and I had to cover my lemon tree because of the intense temperatures and constant blazing sun that set an all time heat record this summer and the lemons were getting sun damage. Front yard is pretty much where I want it.

Looks good Sam! Even though you don't have grass, there's a certain beauty to the rocks and native plants.

Wish I knew answer.  Both the OW to keep loose B4 play and help with ss.  A little while after using the OW my elbow started to become a little numb no pain.  The numbness continued to travel to my pinky finger.  I stopped the OW but this numbness/discomfort has persisted.  
I have gone to a specialist and I would need a nerve study and possibly surgery.  Right now after knee replacement I’m in no rush for another surgery.

BTW started using OW when I was in mid 70’s, could be the problem, Ole Fart elbow.

Best to never put a monetary value on all the fantastic past and memories. Those always are PRICELESS.

Slippery hands don't work well in either game. 

I only attempted to play tennis one time and that was because I was forced to in High School gym class. I do know one thing on tennis though. You can use lead tape to balance the racket or whatever just like a golf club. When we ran the Towing business this kid was an avid tennis player. He had learned about lead tape and asked where he could get some? I told him out here in my golf bag. Yep I see where you are coming from on the towel. I keep like 3 or 4 in hot weather on the cart one for the clubs and 3 for me no joke.

Stephanie (we celebrate our anniversary during the World Am) suggested we do a three-week stay next year. I'm all for it because I know there are great tracks that I'd like to play. I'm guessing @BIG STU will be of help with choosing tracks if we do make it for that extended trip next year.

Love it. I have had 4 Vettes in my lifetime. I guess the first one does not count because it was a stripped out 67 a guy had stripped to make a drag car out of. I had visions of grandeur, but it never happened. I sold it for what I had in it like 2 years later. My second one was the best a Genuine L-82 Big Block 4 speed. Kept it for a couple of years and a guy made me an offer I could not refuse. My 3rd one also a 69 was a butcher job. someone had pulled the 350 automatic and had put in what was thought to be a 427 and a 4 speed with buggered up clutch pedal. Of course for $1000 in 77 I jumped on it. Found out the engine was a 402 big block stock with an Edelbrock Intake and Holley carb stock and anemic. I ended up buying a junkyard 396 and built it to go in. Like I said it was a butcher job. LOL that car got stolen in like 78 with my golf clubs inside. Of course did a Police report and State Farm Insurance paid off. 13 years later I got a call from the FBI. What was left of that car was found in a swamp behind a chop shop in Florida. I told the agent that the car was no longer mine that it belonged to State Farm. I asked about my golf clubs and he was a golfer himself and he said he looked around for those Spalding 333 Elite custom irons and Izette woods and did not see anything of them. I still have the paperwork on those with SNs. 

The last Vette was Ho Hum. 1978 350 auto smog choker. Would not pull the hat off your head. I traded a stock off the farm 1952 Chevy 5 window pick up and a 64 Ford Pick up with blown engine for it. I had visions of grandeur for it too but had too much stuff going. I ended up trading it straight up for a 79 Ford F-350 dually with a 460 Lincoln engine in it

Those wheels on your car look just like the ones on my 03 Seville SLS I have now

I love it--- Growing up with my old man running a golf course and us living literally in the middle of it one can understand why I hate cutting grass.

If we had actually owned this lot where we are at it would have been done long ago with concrete washout. I had the opportunity when I worked as a mechanic at a concrete company right down the street. They built the Wal Mart my wife works at part time now. I could have gotten all the washout I wanted free plus paid for dumping it.

But there is a bright spot on grass cutting for me. When I was hurt I could not cut it. Not really that big of a lot but at the time it was a no go for me. i paid people to cut it then it got where no one wants to work anymore and you could not find anyone to do it. Sadly, I knew a guy who did yard work and had a lot of business. He finally shut down because he could not do it by himself and could not find dependable help. I got to feeling better the summer of 22 and said screw it! My old man always said if you want something done right do it yourself. I went and bought me a brand-new electric mower that plugs into the house on a smoking hot deal. I have plenty of heavy duty drop cords from my racing and shop days. I also have a 110-volt weed whacker. When I first started I could do like 10 minutes or so at the time and then rest and do some more. This season working slowly I could do the whole thing in one whack weed eating and all in about 1 1/2 hours not getting in a hurry. Of course when I started cutting it the crackheads started coming by again needing money. I ran them off and told them to not come back. One smarted off and said well eventually I would need him. I told him I would be still going when he was dead. Yes I guess the bright spot of grass cutting is it helped me rehab

I like it and he has me barely beat on the mileage department. 2 years ago I bought a One owner 03 Seville SLS from one of my golf buds who owned a car lot. He bought it on an package deal at an estate sale. It had 34k when I bought it. Now has 36K. It is a running joke between him and others on this end of the beach that it will more than likely outlast me. I hardly go anywhere except the course and out to eat all within like a 5 mile radius of my house.

Was up early this AM as SOP for me. Tried to post earlier but it would not take. Got the Bad Gateway thing but no problem on FB. We have been having problems lately with Spectrum in this area. Sometimes I would lose a signal for no reason in the middle of stuff and go through the start up process. What was funny yesterday I got 2 E-Mails from Spectrum one dated from Thursday when I had problems and could only get on here sparingly. They informed me our service was out and they were working on the problem. No joke Sherlock but how was I to see it when my internet was out and I could not get to E-Mails? None of our phones for security reasons are tied to the computer. I can look at MGS on my phone but cannot comment. They sent another E- Mail yesterday saying the problem was fixed again no joke Sherlock because I can now read this. 

I want to step back and wish those with Birthdays a Happy Birthday--- Yeah I am slack and lazy on that. I will try to do better

We do have a tee time for 10AM at the Par3. I did tell the guy when we booked it if it was raining we would not be there. He chuckled and said he would not blame me. I was looking forward to it because it is basically date day for us and we really enjoy it. I was also going to try a new experiment. I have an older Vokey 54* wedge with a factory graphite shaft. I have never hit any wedge other than a PW with a graphite shaft so I wanted to try it for kicks and giggles. Looks like it may be tomorrow on my vintage round if we get that in

LOL I am taking it snooty coffee is Starbucks. Got a laugh the other morning. They have a Starbucks Kiosk in Kroger. I was going in early to get my golf breakfast of Yogurt and a protein pack. 2 of those 6- or 8-seater rental golf carts pulled into the golf cart parking area. I laughed because all locals can spot tourons in the drop of a hat. Of course, they all piled into the Starbucks Kiosk which was already jammed up even at this early hour. I know where everything I need for my breakfast is and go right to it. I went through the self checkout and checked my stuff out. I laughed the bunch that had pulled up in a hurry when I got there were still in line. Have fun I am headed to the golf course. I have my coffee maker on automatic and mine is ready at the house when I get up. 2 cups for me then the rest of the day it is Water even with my meals

Looks like rain moving in here. Not the right day to be stuck inside as I kinda have to disappear from my house .. wife and her daughter having a bridesmaids party .. so may get a little loud in this house later!

Not sure what my plan is, friends I would've visited are out of town. Maybe hit some golf balls before the showers, maybe hit the gym, maybe catch a movie, maybe go to a Dick's Warehouse to look for sneakers, maybe visit the golf store just to ya know see what they have going on there

A good morning to all. Rainy, cool and overcast day here. Spotter duty today at Fortinet Cup championship at TPC Toronto  Thank goodness for a thermos of coffee.  These young pros hit the ball a mile.  Course is showing its mettle though, lots of muttering coming off the greens yesterday, so it’s not only us mere mortals. 

@Northern Monkey So glad BluBear is recovering nicely from his surgery

Good morning! 

It's going to be a beautiful day here in SE TN and I've got a tee time at 11:15 with a friend from work. We're playing at Falcon Pointe which is the course I basically grew up on in the game. It's not a hard course but there are some tight fairways and it can be penal if you hit it in the trees. I'm hoping to see a decent score but am mostly looking forward to having a fun time with a friend.

I haven't played there in a couple of years but it's one of those courses I can see completely in my head. Before the new ownership took over it used to be $20 for 18 and a cart and I played there a ton. It had been shut down for a while because the previous owner was a jack wagon and didn't care about it. I know I've talked about it before on here.

Good morning Spies!

Another early night of sleep for our household, but feeling plenty rested today. Wife and I are both on the mend from whatever sickness we're dealing with, but have decided to pass on going to Notre Dame for the day. Probably for the best, so we can take today easy and try to get back to feeling 100%. Will be rooting for the Irish from the comfort of my couch instead.

Went to the PGA Tour Superstore yesterday to see the new P7CBs in person and hit a few shots before my fitting tomorrow afternoon; didn't want my first exposure to the clubs to be at the fitting. Will be headed to the range this morning with a buddy of mine to continue to work on the swing changes and get some more practice in ahead of my round tomorrow morning.

@Northern Monkey glad to see the pup is on the mend! 

@Javs enjoy the trip abroad!
