Like @Rob Person, it's another rainy day here, it's good since it's been dry lately. I'm up a little earlier than I wanted I guess because I woke up and the mind starts racing. I still got plenty of sleep and now I'm sitting here with a lap full of animals drinking coffee. I don't have much on the agenda today with the exception of grocery shopping. My wife and I ran to town last night just to pick up food and something she saw at Ross and didn't want to ask for last weekend. I took the opportunity to look for golf clothes, but didn't find anything to suit my fancy. And reading back saw comments about movie and music as a motivator, my favorite movie of all time is still the 1954 film White Christmas with Bing Crosby, Vera-Ellen, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney because it has Florida and Vermont, Trains and period vehicles, an Army story woven in, and good people doing good things because it is the right thing to do. part of today's reset is curling with the Vets program and then heading to Rochester for dinner with son. Even the rains that are at times heavy or not at all are the same as last week something like the 1980 film The Final Countdown, only I am driving my Equinox and not the USS Nimitz, with time folding back on itself. Sorry to hear about your friend. It's like they are an extension of your family. Sadly, I think one of my old golf buddies won't be around much longer. He quit playing three years ago; sometimes comes to the range to hit balls, but doesn't look very good. He's 83. Yesterday was nice enough... sunny, but the course had a frost delay and only got up to 37º. My wife did play though... after the frost delay she was the first one out and played 18 holes by herself in 2 hours that included changing golf carts on hole #9 because the battery died. She shot 89. Our carts are 3 years passed our lease date due to covid; the pro said we might get new ones this spring. Our sister course across the river got theirs in September.
