Evnroll ER5 vs EV5?

I have an ER5B that I am still putting well with, but it's starting to look a little rough - the black finish rubbing off (I won't buy a murdered from Evnroll again). I am considering an EV5.1 or 5.2, but I am wondering if there's really any difference beyond the cosmetic? I don't want to spend $400+ based on a new look alone. Probably a stupid question but FWIW.

More neck options, probably some feel and underlying technical changes.  More options for weighting.  Some people think there is no difference from putter to putter; others think there is a lot.  Will the new model magically make you a better putter and shave a guaranteed 3 strokes a round off your putting?  Probably no.

what type of change do you think is worth $400?

Probably what I should have asked myself from the start. Though I putt well with the ER5B, more head weight to keep the head on path sounds like a plus. Anything that further quiets my wrists & hands would be good too, but I consider that much more method than equipment. When I am not putting well it's usually because I've let my wrists or hands get involved and my starting line gets inconsistent. Frankly I think my disappointment with how poorly the black finish has worn has me looking for an excuse to buy a new satin finish Evnroll...

Now you can and ask their customer service if the new model can have increased headweight, since that seems to be what you want.  Additional headweight can be detrimental and cause your hands to droop which would move the putter offline.  The other areas are stroke related and probably wouldn’t be impacted by the different putter

The key difference besides the adjustable weight would be the different shafts/hosels you can get with all V series putters. The best thing about my ER2vB are s that I have a Midlock shaft and a mid slant- it’s like having 2 putters in one.
