Not a huge fan of the smoke design, but I’m VERY intrigued by the tech. Can’t wait to try one out!

I have been feeling that launch monitor fitting and testing data must be a gold mine if it is tagged properly and cool to see Callaway do exactly that. I also agree with the closing thought that given what they are doing with the real players data we get one step closer to a true custom driver face being likely 3D printed after you provide your delivery metrics and then welded onto the best chassis for you. Sign me up for that.

- I think some will roll their eye at the mention of an “AI designed” face, but I’m very interested to see how the tech plays out. I watched the Club Champion review last night and they seemed to be pretty complementary of the new drivers & their tech (although the last test against the Paradym TD was interesting):

I believe drivers start at $599, FWs at $349, Hyrbids at $279, and iron sets at $999, according to their website.

Boy, oh boy, I love new driver season!!

Callaway are on such a roll. I loved the Paradym last season and it seems they've taken everything that made that driver so popular and improved in each area.

At the moment, I probably prefer the blue of the Paradym over the grey of the Smoke, but the grey is already growing on me and I think I will have switched by the end of the week.

The new face tech with the differing faces between the models sounds super interesting.

In the exact opposite. Not a huge fan of the navy on the Paradym TD. Shape, footprint, face depth, and performance all forced my hand as it was just too good. My only complaint for the Smoke AI is the hints of blue in the weights and smoke on the crown/sole. I’m more of a yellow/white/grey/black guy with some red as long as there isn’t any yellow of course(eat it cyclone fans).  I do like the grey carbon over the navy so I may still change if the performance is even.   Gonna be a great and expensive winter for testing now that I’ve got a mevo+ to review.

I swung a demo head yesterday at golf+ 9.5⁰ setting. Not sure of the other specs. It felt really lightweight to me. I didn't have good results from my 8 swings.   Im sure that would be different if I was properly fitted to it though.  Looking forward to hopefully talking them into letting me tryi out other models and clubs when they come in.

I like the look from the top better than last year but not a huge fan of the smoke look on the bottom. Maybe if it was a matte finish I would like the smoke look. Also am I the only one that thinks it looks as they made the back of the triple diamond a little flatter and wider than last year?

Not a huge fan of the bottom, but I'm sure it's something that may grow on me the more I see them in the wild. The top I don't mind, I just wish the "Ai SMOKE" wasn't on there. I'm curious to see how they perform and hear some thoughts on them.

Pretty much my feelings exactly. You don't see the sole at address, for sure. But if I saw that on the rack for the first time, I probably wouldn't reach for it in front of other drivers.

Early returns on these drivers ball speed wise is impressive. Matt Blois was absolutely MASHING the TD to the tune of 180+ ball speed. Granted his SS is much higher than mine, but nonetheless these are absolutely getting a look this year. I do not love the sole, but you can't see the sole at address and if it helps me gain some ball speed over what I'm playing now, I can deal with the looks.

I like it.  The top line looks good, I like the matte leading edge and the glossy carbon crown.  It's clean so no issues from me there.

I even think I like the gray forged carbon better than the Paradym.  But I am a bowler, so maybe that's why I like it!

It looks good but the bottom is a bit busy. Looks to me like it is already dirty but it really doesn't matter since it's on the bottom. Then again I would use a driver painted like a barbie doll if I could hit it strait every time.

I have the same exact thoughts. The smoke graphics look cheesy.

I'm already getting emails from online golf shops hyping the Ai Smoke (pre-order on 1/12!). Looks interesting. Not sure I'm ready to plunk down $600 for one club, though. The graphics don't bother me, BTW. If I could hit it 265 down the middle, they can paint it in orange and purple zebra stripes for all I care.

Also got an email from TaylorMade this morning hyping their new driver which is apparently being released next Tuesday. The tagline is "Ready for 10K?" Will be interesting to see what that's about. It seems to be the Qi10 LS model, which Rory and Tommy Fleetwood took out for a spin in Dubai in November.

I'm not a fan of glossy, so I wish the carbon crown was more matte, but otherwise I think it looks good!

I like the look and the engineering behind this line is cool, but I likely won't be giving these a try. I'm good with my current bag and unless I was trying it at a fitting centre, I'd probably find the headweight too light like I have with every Callaway driver I've tried in recent years.

Hopefully this goes better for you this time around.  And hopefully the smoke isn't just, well smoke.  I went with the Rogue ST 3diamond last year as I thought it performed WAY better than the paradigm
