The Good Evening Thread

As popular as “The Good Morning Thread” is perhaps we should start a “Good Evening Thread” 

Here I am, chilling in the hot tub after a long day of poopy work. 

It looks like los poopies had a long day as well. They must have been chasing birdies. I know I wasn’t which is sad. No, I had meetings all day.

All I could think about was golf. I was not productive today.

Yes, this is what I was thinking about! Anyway, I got the bug! The weather needs to allow me my release. Golf is my release now that Zoey’s hockey season is over. 

If you played golf today I hope your birdie hunt was successful. If you were stuck in the office I know you were thinking of golf. 

Admit it, we all do! I spent my down time at work searching irons and wedges.

Uggghhh!!!

Good evening MGS Troops. Crazy day, finally winding down. Hope all yous guys day was well!

Made it down to AL. Rain like cats and dogs the past 2 days. Back home I hear it was sunny and mid 60's. Not fair. I need a brew for sure. Spouse is happy spent time at outlet mall.

Spousal unit snuck a picture and stole our souls without permission. Bruno and I are in nap time mode. But all he did was bark all day.

Good idea for the thread @Erin BSomehow Monday and Tuesday got blended together. Long, tiring but productive days. Back to eating adult type solid foods.. NO “ Power Puking “ was engaged in, but had some other short term gastrointestinal issues. Looking forward to weighing when I get home later this week. Pretty sure I am holding my own on the weight, if true, then the nightmarish fear of getting down to “ skinny jeans “ weight should be fast diminishing. Have found that work maybe a bigger instigator of my wrist and hands issues than golf. I am  scheduled to see an orthopedist about my wrists and hands near the end of  this month. I will have to remember to mention this. Also, at that same time it will be another round of blood testing along with decision making time on possible procedures. Until then , work, golf , and life goes on. NO rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good. 
   I would like to leave a smallish PSA request… Could it be possible to NOT send me any of the youths who saw and bought into this…

I had to get surgery on my wrists because of the small items I worked with in the AF. I think I can relate to what you’re going through. As far as the teens; can’t help you there. For the trots; been there, done that, wrote the song ! Oh wait, you were puking. Sorry, too much information on my part. SH*7CON delta averted! My coworker and I are always in delta at work. We blow them camodes up atomic style!!! We do have a mad pooper on the prowl though. He never flushes. Must be proud of the kids he dropped off at the pool. Gives em a good long swim. brunasty Bruno won’t leave my lap today. Mom must have got after him for something.

Anyway, have a great evening and dream about birdies!

2 pretty cool things I got to witness today while working as Ranger Rob.on the GC.

A couple from Virginia drove out of there way to play our course,  before heading to their florida summer home. I Witnessed him make his eagle putt, which was pretty cool! Then I got to see his magic putter.  Said he has played only this putter since the 90s.

I also got to watch a ball retirieval company work their magic. Learned quite a bit in the 10 minutes I observed and spoke with them. They go state to state doing this up and down the east coast.  They spend 2-3 days at each course, depending on how many waterways there are. They cleaned out this 3 acre pond in 30 minutes!!! They winch the ball roller between 2 gators across from each other.

They have an 18 wheeler tractor trailer, (or conex carrier) transport them back to Georgia to be sorted, cleaned, and packed up, and resold back to the original manufacturers for them to refurbish and resale.  I helped them load up a few bags, and they handed me a full sack of lake balls (well over 150 in the sack)

Well my plumber finally showed up today. Been waiting since Friday. They showed up at 6pm and left at 9 pm. What a disaster. They had to replace the drain piping from the upstairs shower. The faucet was original from the 80’s and of course they don’t make replacement cartridges for those any longer. Well it’s all replaced. Now my work starts. I have a hole cut in my bedroom ceiling so they could get to the drain. Then they had to cut a section of the wall out in my son’s bedroom to get to the plumbing.

Look out Lowe’s here I come. Sheetrock joint compound, and paint. Of course I have a textured ceiling to boot. I’m ready to hit the sack.

That ol TaylorMade is pretty dang cool! It’s always neat to see an eagle! And the ball retrieval is fascinating! Sounds like a really cool day!

  I asked my wife this today when she got home from the course today.  The Ladies League opening scramble was today and her team won both gross and net.  Gave up the net to the second place team.  She had a few!!

Way late OR incredibly early to this thread. Work is proceeding…. Hasn’t been the smoothest or most professionally executed work plan, but we are getting there. It is a hoot to see when an inexperienced worker finally has that…Ah!! moment on what we trying to accomplish. 
Probably one of the most fun parts of this gig.. Then again, no matter one’s age, we are all capable of having our own Ah moments in life… Such as

Good night or good morning.. whatever the time of day is for you, make the day your’s…

Good evening MGS Troops! Busy day today discussing stuff here in the forums. I went to the sim today, still have sim woes but getting better.

Discussed Newton and Steadfast shafts, and Titleist irons. All in all a good day at work, got stuff buttoned up before I head to Mesquite tomorrow night. I’m off tomorrow but we should have about 3 inches of snow on the ground by tomorrow morning.

I have been going non stop since 5:30 this morning and finally got home about 4:45.  Have a round planned for the morning and hoping the weather cooperates!  

Good news, got another property under contract and set to close next month and we have 2 new listings going live next week.

Shoot, I have been self employed for a little over 4 years and haven't slept past 5am but maybe a few times. To many years in construction and lots of fishing. Haha

Sun is setting and I am a beat and sore old man. Work wise was pretty much a hit and miss day… My side of things WILL be done by daylight and I will head to the house. 
   Speaking about the house,  I dread seeing what the “bride being” has purchased. I was pleasantly surprised by her acknowledging the looks, quality, and price of the golf shoes that I had ordered that arrived at the house. Then she stated that shopping was on her agenda. Goodness, only knows how much more those golf shoes are going to cost me. I was going to comment on her shopping desire but self survival kicked in an I stymied the urge. Remembering to

Understandable… In 1969 I was taking my AF physical at McCord, staying in the barracks there, when loud noises woke me up at 0330!!  C5As taking off for Nam.  Pretty rough for a college kid used to sleeping in when he didn’t have classes until 10am!!!!

Good evening spies. Work was slammed today, was Jupiter in transit to Uranus or something? I swear the amount of adult childish ignorance I dealt with today was mind-blowing!!! But enough about me...

Golf plans for the weekend are looking dismal, as they are predicting 2-3" of rain in a 36 hour time span. 

Oh, and the boss lady decided since we paid off a major debt, she wants a new vehicle...
