Thanks for the pic. IMO: I do not like the way "Scotty Cameron" is engraved on the bumpers and I think the 3 dots look very bad in that half-ovalish cavity.

I disagree this thing is a beaut. The red dots are bigger than the standard studio selects, almost like the Cherry Bomb you see on custom scottys

Bumpers are classic Zing/Laguna style text though. Homage to the classic. like that

It might look better in person, I'm certainly open to that possibility. Also possible that we just like different things, which is totally cool, too.

 

I can appreciate the homage, but I wouldn't find that engraving pleasing even if it said "Matt Saternus." Ok, false, I would like that, but you get my point.

I am a sucker for a CS mallet. So close to grabbing the Betti BC one last year, but the LOL would have none of that.

I like the feel of the Al Kombi, but it is just a little big for my eye and I like CS. Stainless CS would probably make me dig up some trade-ins to the shop...

I hate the Scotty Cameron engraving too, and the entire Kombi. I don't care who made it, it's still ugly.

To each his own, but I think most of the SC putters from the past four or five years just look so cheap. For the price, there are so many options out there that are better in my eyes.

I can see this too with the modern line vs. the old oil can lines and others. I like these two though, seemingly much more than the other recent ones.

Solid gold sounds nice but in reality most have been done gold plated by Karsten. but when John took over now their done in Solid Gold! I'm sure thru the 70's,80's and 90's Ping probably easily has the most majors. Does anyone know? That's a good trivia question don't you think?

ISn't it plated for a normal event and solid for a major?

The Ping website says gold-plated. It also says there at 47 major winners, including all 4 from 1988. Pretty cool.
