  1. My daughter is home, safe and sound! The fam and I all appreciate the kind words from everyone who was thinking about her. She's still a little zoned out from the meds, but she's got Netflix and she asked for her favorite blueberry muffin from Dunkies to munch so, hopefully she keeps that one down (those meds side effects are no joke). We'll be back up in Boston on Tuesday for our first followup with the surgeon, fingers crossed for a good report. Thanks again everyone.

  2. I hope that those WTF messages are nonexistent this time around, but I doubt it. I have learned in the past couple of days, how much work is done by the staff and also learned some more about the staff themselves, from conversations. So if you guys have not heard recently. Thank you @Golfspy_CG2 @GolfSpy MPR @GolfSpy Stroker and @GolfSpy STUDque for the hard work and dedication you guys put day in and day out to this forum.

The selection committee will be working late into the night. Testers will be announced Thursday sometime. Entries Closed.

  6. TESTERS ANNOUNCED! Is it possible for a golf equipment company to simultaneously be a colossus—and underrated, at the same time? Consider this: Titleist had the most played ball at the most recently-completed Tour event. That surprises no one. And maybe you'd guess that they had the wedge and putter categories as well. Possibly irons also. But driver? I'm guessing that other OEMs likely come to mind quicker when it comes to Tour presence with the big stick. But maybe those guys know something we don't.... We need some Forum members to let us know how the new

  7. CARLSBAD, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2020) – Faster in the air and faster at impact, the new Titleist TSi drivers push the boundaries of speed through advanced engineering and material breakthroughs – including a new ATI 425 Aerospace Titanium face construction never before used in golf – that combine to produce the longest, straightest, best-looking, and best-sounding Titleist drivers ever. Available in golf shops Nov. 12, with fittings beginning today at locations nationwide, the new TSi2 and TSi3 models transcend the advancements of the original Titleist Speed Project, accelerating the perfo

  8. Sooo excited for this. I've never been one to gravitate towards Titleist for some odd reason so I'm very anxious to see what they're all about! Can't wait to get down and dirty with this one. Congrats to my fellow testers!

  9. ... Speaking as someone that hates playing in the cold*, especially windy cold, I would cancel and make the first competition a fun and warm one. Nothing worse than having your hands/fingers lose their feel while trying to play. Bright sun can certainly help but 46* is pretty cold to stay loose and swing freely, especially if the wind chill puts those temps in the 30's. *I was born and raised in the South so I imagine my blood is just not suited for the cold even though I have been here for 42 years now.

  11. TSi tester thread is closed, looks like testers could/should be announced today. I didn't apply but I've paid attention to the thread...I know I've said it before but I can't believe how many responses are first time posters, incomplete or wrong responses, etc. One guy said he wants to test the TSi4?! Honestly, there was a time that I posted only to the testing opportunities. Looking back now, that's pretty damn embarrassing to admit. Having to distill all those responses down to just the legitimate candidates, and then picking from among them, has to be painful.

  12. I did my last Occupational Therapy yesterday--- Did a mile on the treadmill in 15: 35 not bad for being about 60 lbs overweight and a healing up back. Those OT sessions are 3 hrs each and I did my last of 15 series yesterday. Went today and hit 55 balls on the range usually been hitting 25. I am back at about 80% on distance. Had absolutely no pain or stiffness today. May do 55 tomorrow but hit at it a tad harder. Also did 3 15 minute putting sessions. Getting through the ball good. Rested between sessions and had no stiffness or problems getting out of the chair. Basically I did my golf thera

  14. ... After my full bag club fitting I made a few changes. I bought a SIM Max 10.5* head and found a Diamana Limited 55 R Flex shaft on eBay I paired with it. Yesterday was my first round and due to 45+ mph winds I can't make any comparisons to my Cobra Xtreme as far as performance. I hit a 330 yd drive with the wind at my back and considering I usually drive the ball in the 240-260 range I think we can safely say that was an outlier LOL. I was very reluctant to try a R Flex shaft in my driver as my S Flex seems to work well on the course. But I had zero issues with dispersion and actually hit s

  15. Most of us, myself included, started with the intent of only applying to test clubs, but some have since become very involved with the community. I know @Golfspy_CG2 and the rest of the selection committee spend a long time sorting the valid applications from the clutter on the past few days, then to work out the best candidates from that list. It is some hard work right there.

  16. So I’ll try to make a long story short...I’m a diehard Broncos fan, and for Christmas my wife got me a personalized jersey with the number 18, and told me it was to signify our January 8th anniversary. THIS WAS THE CHRISTMAS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE OUR WEDDING. (Before they signed Peyton Manning.) In giving me the gift she told me that now I had a jersey I could always wear instead of having the players jerseys I had who retired or got traded. (Bailey, Tebow, Cutler, etc.) She then held up her own 18 Broncos jersey and said “see, I have one too.” What did my dumbass say? “We’re not married

  19. ... I had a 1:50 tee time today which was right into the teeth of an insane wind. Opening hole is 363 and I hit a solid driver and 17* Super Hybrid coming up just on the front fringe. 512 yd par 5 and after a 330 yd drive (LOL) I hit an 8 iron just over the green. 30-35 mph with 45+ gusts were no joke as I usually hit driver, 6 iron and pw/sw into that green. At least they are pretty much into or down wind with only 1 hole into a cross wind. 2 people I was playing with quit after 9 leaving me and a high index player from India on the back 9. I don't think he broke 150 and must have lost close

  23. Nice even par 71 today in 20 mph winds. Struck it well and made a few putts. Hole of the day was knocking 3 wood into the par 4 13th and rolling in a 20 footer for a deuce. Rain tomorrow then back at if Saturday and Sunday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. Finished bogey, bogey, bogey to post an 80 yesterday. Our greens are incredibly fast lately, faster than I've ever seen them in the 17 years I've been playing this course. While I prefer fast greens generally, these are like putting on glass and when they put the pins close to natural slopes, it can get dicey.

  35. Played last Friday going 43/42 with one birdie, one double and too many bogeys for sure. Driver was on point throughout the round, really only having one shot that led to a lost shot, everything else was fairway of just barely off. Putting was tough with some very quick greens currently as the season is wrapping up here in NH. Also breaking in some new wedges so missed some shots for inside 100 that I am usually much closer on. Still fun, need to enjoy the golf while its still here.

  36. super excited to be picked, I was honestly at my local big box store looking at these the day before I was announced as a tester, glad I didn’t have my current wedges to trade in! I picked 56* and 60* low bounce, relief edge, rounded and hand polished. My current set is the RTX4 52*/56* mid bounce. My major miss is always blading it. I already have some sim time scheduled to compare spin rates and distances. Have a couple weekly rounds I plan on putting these in play I went with the 60* instead of the 52* on this as i needed something shorter and to be able to stick a short s

  39. You have to be on high alert when shopping at WallyWorld. A friend of mine bought a 5 qt jug of oil, got home to do his oil change and discovered it was used oil! Somebody got creative to get a free oil change. I bought a jar of peanuts to keep in the truck for a job snack. Opened it up the first time and found the foil seal had been opened already and a handful or two missing. I couldn't bring myself to eat any and tossed the whole jar. I guess somebody got hungry shopping for hours in their PJ's and needed a snack.

  40. I accompanied SWMBO to Walmart the other day and while I was waiting & waiting & waiting took a look in Sporting Goods. In the Golf Section there were hardly any boxes only a few refinished or Nitro balls. I was surprised and had no idea why. Still looking around and waiting looked at guns/ammo stuff and behind the counter and roped off section where the golf balls! Really!! What is going on, Ole Farts stealing balls! Curious (and still waiting) asked a clerk why and he told me that people are taking out a sleeve from box or switching the 4 sleeves of high end balls for cheaper one

This is an all time low for me at this course(Bonneville GC), and all I can think about is the 3 double chips and 3 three putts that put me 6 over... 48. Ok guys, you've talked me into it. With the interest in the classic bag challenge, I will take @HardcoreLooper suggestion and do a trial run for those of us in warmer climates and then do a forum wide competition next year when the weather warms up. For those participating in the trial run there will be a prize. I will be using the scoring system that we used in the Hard Rock Challenge that takes into account handicap, course rating, and slope. A few things I'll need to iron out will be: 1. How will we define a classic bag? Will we go with the standard for cars and place them
