Well was going to go to the simulator today. Plans changed when the wife found a boat. Looks like we are going to buy a boat today instead. Perfectly fine as we have been looking for one since we moved into our new house. Now we will have a new toy to go fishing in along with our kayaks. Just this one will be on the boat lift now

Good morning Spies on another chilly Michigan morning. Supposed to get to mid 20's today, so that will feel like a heat wave, and so far there is some sunshine outdoors too. Still planning on doing some real world computer work today and watching the last 2 divisional playoff games. Really thought the Packers may have pulled off the upset yesterday, but it wasn't to be. @Jnoble89 should be proud of the way his team performed this year, and their future looks bright. Saw parts of the American Express and pretty amazing an amateur has a 4 stroke lead going into the final round. Hope that your day is the best it can be, no matter what may be in your plans or on your agenda. Go Lions!

Good morning everyone! Like @ParFore74x said, it's also the last day for frigid temps here where it's currently sitting at 10°. I think we're looking at getting highs this week in the high 50's although we're looking at a rainy forecast. My wife has me under a strict "you're not doing anything today" rule to let my feet recover from going back to work and having to wear new safety shoes. We went to ESD at the start of the year and since the selection was slim in wide widths, the pair I bought are not comfortable. Might have to go buy another pair. It's all good, looking at the Kingsmill counter, we're down to less than 130 days until an amazing golf trip. I hope you all have a great Sunday!

Good morning MGSpies from sunny winter cold in WNY with Veteran curling at noon and lots of time for what I want to get into will be doing similarly to what @Byrnzee @bens197 and others will be doing this afternoon and will probably hear the sound from the stadium to the south, a neighbor fires a percussion cannon when Bills score, and that's all I'm saying about that as a Bills 90's Superbowls survivor, this could be the year of great healing for the older community. Time for coffee hope golf is a part of your day 129 (those last 10 days went by fast!)

Good morning spies, Last day in Florida with the in-laws so we're hoping to soak up the sun as much as possible and bring some with us back north. We have a boat ride planned for this afternoon before we head back tonight. Excited to get home to see our pup and sleep in our own bed, but not super excited to return to the frozen tundra that is Chicago. Will be rooting for my Bills from the sky this evening as I watch the game on the plane. Fingers crossed that Josh Allen & Co. can finally break through and beat Mahomes. Good morning all on this hopefully last sub freezing day. Supposed to be almost 50 by Tuesday, it hasn't been above freezing for 2 weeks. Fortunately we didn't get as much snow as some places north of us. Have a wonderful day all.

A good morning Sunday to all. I have my morning espresso, the huskies are out in the back garden playing and still at least one more day of deep freeze. But it is January and I live in Canada, so I should be use to it. For something a little fun, this is what happens when the critters get loose Enjoy and have a great day.

My mind started running at 5:30 this morning and didn’t want to stop so it looks like I’m up for the day. Sounds like the wife and kid are having me escort them to Des Moines today to go shopping so I’m going play some video games and do some putting before they get out of bed. -2° start to the day and should warm up to a whopping 20° this afternoon. Starting tomorrow we are looking at mid 30s to mid 40s for the next couple weeks. That’s going to make a real quick mess out of all the snow on the ground. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!

Good Sunday morning all. I will second @Javs comments regarding crap weather and the rest of the week shows no signs of getting better... Time spent with daughter yesterday on her journey for a new vehicle was surprisingly enjoyable as we had the opportunity to talk about various subjects between dealerships. As usual, I'm sure I tested her patience more than once but that is at it should be... Hopefully the weather will let up enough this week to get a range session in. have a great Sunday and enjoy the football. Go BUCS!

Change of plans for the day. Wife and kid decided that I was not needed for their shopping trip today so I am home alone…with the dogs of course. Plenty of time for some putting practice and a few things around the house.

Disagree, time is dragging by for me. Good morning everyone; another cold day so no golf today. Went to the golf store yesterday and hit a few of the new irons (Blueprint S and Mizuno Pro). Had to stop after about 15 shots due to chest pain; still bothering me this morning. H Guess it will be a sit around and watch TV kind of day. Really want the next 10 days to go quickly so I can get the surgery done and see if it resolves my issue and then start the recovery to get ready for the Kingsmill trip.

Good morning everyone. Last cold wake up for the foreseeable future. Next up on Mother Nature’s list of evil tricks will be highs just barely above freezing with lows a little below freezing triggering a nasty melt/freeze cycle for the next 10 days. As if driving in heavy snow wasn’t bad enough, now we can look forward to sheets of ice for the morning commute. Oh well. I guess I should just be happy with the warming trend and perhaps the chance to see green grass again. Hopefully some more time on a putting green at least before the end of the month?!?! Morning all, As with others, I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed that today is (as forecast) the last day of the current cold snap. -1f currently, with a high in the 20s. Rainy 50s forecast for the coming week. I'll take that and so will my dog I'm sure. Heading out for a short dog walk then have to go on an unplanned trip to our factory to get something shipped out. That eats into my booked sim time today, but should still get an hour or so swinging clubs. Good to see Rory get over the line earlier. Now hoping for that young college sophomore to relax, play well and win! What a story that already is and could be... Have a great Sunday!

Good morning Spies. Another chilly morning at -3*. High of 23, but then a major warm-up next week. Monday 41, then up to 59 on Thursday. Downsize is it's going to rain literally all week. So from 6" of snow -3*, to a week of rain and a high of 59*. Nuts. Well, yesterdays upgrade went very badly. Got stuff on some networking crap that lasted the majority of the day. I was online from 8am - 11pm. Looks like we'll only get half of the planned work done this weekend. So another weekend will be planned and then I'll plan to make the trip down to campus. Well, I'm going to make my mug of water and maybe jump on the treadmill as we start this morning. Have a good Sunday all.

Yeesh .... who's bright idea was it to come North from Florida this time of year? 6 degrees right now, but perfectly sunny - if not for that temp would be a beautiful day on the course. Tomorrow will be warmer, Tuesday may be my best shot at a round this week - in the high 40's / low 50's with still some sun on Tuesday. The rest of the week is projected rain. I love our mountain retreat but when I can play golf in Florida but cannot play in Georgia it gets me wondering if it's that great a deal. I've considered selling the place and buying a condo in St. Augustine but haven't yet convinced the better half of the benefits of that idea. I'll get a workout in one way or another - probably chip around the yard if it gets into the 20's. Have a great day, hope some of ya'll get to play some golf today.

Good morning Spies, Up with a travel cup this morning. My Sweetie returned from her snowshoeing trip last night. I ran out this morning to get some cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Drove through a gentle snowfall. On the way home I was nicely tucked in behind a couple of snowplows kindly clearing my way. A most nerve wracking final minute of the Niner game last night. I couldn’t watch the last minute. . I was burdened with the knowledge that they were 0-30 when trailing in the 4th. I’m not sure that “knowledge is king” is entirely accurate. Morning spies! It is a cloudy 58° out in Long Beach, California today. It is going to be raining off and on but it hasn't for a while so I am going to get a few errands in. Tomorrow the rain is going to be heavy all day, figured I would get it done today. Excited for an early tee time Tuesday. I have a feeling I am going to be one of the only people out there in my waterproofs which arrive tomorrow! Anyways, have a great day spies! Stay warm and dry!

Good morning Spies! Enjoying my easygoing weekend with FABWIFE and the dogs as I let my back rest. Thanks to an orthopedist friend who squeezed me in to see him Friday, I can now stand upright and take steps without spasm-induced epithet streams. Thank goodness. I hope you all have great Sundays!!

Good morning all. Raining right now in Mesa and like every day in Mesa we need the rain. Plus the rain Michael.Sandoval33 is seeing we will see in a day or so. Will make for some muddy conditions and some very loud sniveling by those forced to walk from the inevitable cart path only call tomorrow and Tuesday. I have started a thread in Breaking News and Debate on recovering from being angry on the course (bad shot, guy in the foursome who wont hang up his phone and play, things like that) and would be interested in your thoughts for a project I am working on. A rainy weekend here in Baja, Mexico. Gonna watch some football and golf so all is not lost. Hoping for a break in the rain on Tuesday so I can get back out there.

Snagged a pair of Tad Moore Pro 1 P units early in the week and they showed up this afternoon. One is an absolutely cherry Blue Oxide finish. The other is a Black Oxide finish (pictured below) and has just enough gentle wear for me to feel comfy offering it a gamer audition. They were both 35” with hideous SuperStroke 3.0 grips, so I immediately went to work cutting this one down to 31”, adding 20 grams to the tip, wrapping the shaft in black heat shrink and pulling a GP Pro Score grip (if you know, you know) out of my dead stock stash. The angled neck has a full shaft offset with just a smidge of toe hang. The prior owner added a sorta sloppy white dot to the topline that had me a little worried about what might be hiding underneath but an acetone soaked q-tip deleted that no problem. Looks super clean behind the ball now and I think the overall black-tie treatment turned out pretty good. Looking forward to warmer weather next week and rolling some potatoes with this rare bird.

Happy Sunday everyone! It looks like Tuesday might be the day I finally get in the course in 2024. The high is near 40° which is a big step up from the teens it has been all year so far. If all goes well (meaning work doesn’t interfere) I should get two rounds in before the weekend and potentially one more on Saturday if the rain stays away!

Good Aftenoon. Busy morning with helping take down Xmas decorations and changing smoke alarm batteries and other fun Sunday at home stuff. watched a disappointing Maryland Hoops loss. Now looking forward to both games. Happy Game Day!

I just do. Every shot is a new shot and truthfully even a bad day on the course is better than many others so I find it quite easy to move on for bad shots or situations!

I have always wanted to try curling, it's one of my favorite sports in the Olympics.

Winter blues setting in full effect: picked up this lightly used Golo 6 since I’ve always been a fan of the shape! that will hold me over for a while, but a new hybrid is on list too since my current one just isn’t far enough apart from my 4-iron distances.

I feel this pain! You get all black, all white or all gray. Find 4E shoes is the worst. Golf and running are New Balance and tend to have the most options. Check out these. New Balance589 ESD Look like they carry wide and extra wide.

Finally finished putting these together. Need to do a bit of finishing touches but am happy with how these turned out!

An update! Not even on purpose I have been building some older clubs and building a back up bag. Turns out there is a LOT of Cobra clubs. I was always a Cobra fan and purchased a set of my favorite ever irons. I always had a tough time getting rid of a few clubs and after I finally finished the full rebuild on these it was time to put together the new backup bag. I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking.

This is my 14 year old buddy Samson. He had a tumor start oozing and bleeding this week, and at his age we were afraid to put him under to have it removed. The poor thing started bleeding pretty bad and not doing well with the cone. After several days and sleepless nights of trying to get him comfortable and it stop, I took him to the emergency vet to have it removed. Made it through surgery! They removed 3 tumors. Hopefully he’ll recover well from the surgery!
