Great weekend of golf and fun. A few things I learned from this trip...

 

1. Always have a rain suit that either fits or is not malfunctioning.

 

2. Rainy/windy golf sucks, more so if it's cold.

 

3. Zach carries A LOT of ball markers with him, this is a good thing!

 

4. Rover can stretch like Miguel Angel, and is also in need of a couple of shirts...

 

5. Rickles likes Jack Nicklaus, I mean REALLY likes him.

 

6. BK has the shortest driver I've seen anyone play, but he hits it really well, an he's money on the greens.

 

7. Hula is in awe of my "multicultural" ability to eat with chopsticks.

 

8. The Motel6-Huntsville DOES NOT serve breakfast (shock!)

 

9. Rickles also likes his women on the Laura Davies side... Haha couldn't help myself!

Things I learned this week:

1. Ravens nest is long but txgolfjunkie is longer.

2. Don't give Zach a hard time while playing against him. It's like poking a bear with a stick. You will be beaten 5 and 4 badly.

3. Don't ask bk to hit a cut, don't ask txscatman to hit a draw. Neither are possible.

4. Rover is funny in person as he is on the forums.

5. I would be smart to listen to high fade because my open mouth gathered many feet this week. I didn't know a person could have that many feet.

6. Hula is just super nice and fun to be around. Too bad he had to leave early because of his herniated cervix.

Things I learned this weekend...

 

1) Unless you're a Vikings fan, purple and yellow just don't go together. Green and Gold are a better choice ;-)

2) Rover could take 1/2 swings for a whole round and beat many people.

3) Txcatman doesn't need a tour ball.....he can get a top-flite to spin back 20 feet  #crazyspin

4) Rickles is a genuinely nice guy.

5) Hula's herniated cervix looked painful.

6) When you give a 7 year old a pink poker chip from Best Grips, expect to explain to them:  a) what poker is why you need a chip c) what gambling is d) If you have ever gambled e) did you win f) what the most you have ever won is g) why you can't take her to your next poker game.  She did love the chip though...thanks Zach!!!

7) If you eat all you can eat at an all you can eat chinese buffet for lunch, expect to hit the bathroom before the back nine.  Or sooner.

8) We really should do this again in the fall.

1.  Rickles and bestgrips are sponsored by Alial Fital....  

 

2.  Rover Rick is one of the funniest guys to play with on the golf course.

9.  BK was bored one day and murdered his Nike Wedges.  Hus putter is older than all of us combined.

I had fun meeting all the guys...and just like everyone else, I wish we would have all played better.

 

Enjoyed hearing about the grip business from Zach. I ordered more grips from him today. The guy knows his stuff. I'm always up for helping out small businesses in the area...especially when they produce quality products.

 

Raven Nest could be a beast in the summer time. I plan to return once the weather and greens get a little better.

Some of the best meals in my life have been prepared by Mexican Chefs.  Not one of them however.....cooked Chinese food.  Saturday was no exception.

Ate at Juan-in-a-Million today with my wife, bro in law and his family. Their normal salsa was about 5 times hotter than sriracha. Still haven't destroyed any plumbing. You guys need to work up your heat pallets.

I am so glad you go a picture of these two guys in the purple pants.  I had no idea they even made Garanimals in big boy sizes.  I am sure now that this is posted they are wondering what the chances are that both pair they sold would end up in the same place.

Zach and I like to wear purple so that we can match our opponents at the end of the match after the colossal Beatdown they've been given. Unfortunately that was me that was bruised purple after losing to Zach Sunday!
