I will say the one thing about the Zip is you absolutely need a cart bag with a somewhat wide base or else it will be wobbling around the entire round

Unless... You set your stand bag on its side .. eg with the legs facing out to the side, not "down" .. then it sits there nicely!

Sorry don't have a pic but I set mine on with the hip pad side down / large pockets side up (legs are on the left side when looking at it from behind).

I almost bought the batcaddy. I decided on the Alphard because I had a cart (which I upgraded to the caddytek V8) and it was the cheaper option. Nothing wrong with the batcaddy though. I know people that have one. And youth should have nothing to do with enjoying golf more by not having to push or carry a bag. I think Alphard does a similar discount as batcaddy for new recommended customers, but I'd have to check. Whatever you choose will make your round more enjoyable and that's all that matters.

This was funny timing. Listing popped up on FB with a clicgear 4.0 already outfitted with the booster. Little fishy because it was listed like it was sold that way vs. put together. Got scooped before I could get details

I've had the same putter (Odyssey White Hot XG #9) since I first filled my bag. Today I was in Dick's, dicking around, and picked up a few putters to waste time. Now listen, I know the holes are cut bigger and I know the artificial greens "fall"to the cup but something just felt so good about this TM Bandon 3. Out of the five or six that I played with, it certainly stood out.

Might just have to sleep on this, though.

I always forget that Maltby has putters. Very cool concept. Let us know if you end up buying!

In case you missed my recent posts in the Maltby thread, these are 2 of the more traditional putters that they offer that I just built. They're as good as ANYTHING! Cost me about $120 each (including tax and shipping). All of their putters are worth serious consideration.

That looks more than cosmetic to me. Carbon if it is cracked should be pretty easy to tell if pressing on it.

Thank you for your reply. Certainly not caving easily but there is a raised edge that catches fiber when wiped across it.

Guess I'll have it until I need an excuse for my wipey fade..

I agree with @cksurfdude to contact CS and see if they’ll do anything for you.
I do think you’d be fine to swing it and see how it feels/sounds (after you contact CS). Don’t send me a bill if it cracks further though.

After the sneak peak of the conforming list it looks like there may be a BRNR Mini 2.0 coming out and I’m not missing that one! I wanted BRNR mini when it came out but now the 2.9 has my eye.

I’m also looking at a Rapsodo MLM 2 pro for at home net practice and a range tool.

I really hope my wife doesn’t see this… 😂

Taylormade won’t cover that crack. They will say the ONLY way that the bottom Carbon will crack is by smashing your club on the ground. Been there with them. If it was the crown or the face, and a newer model, they would replace it.

After rolling a Scotty Cameron Phantom X 7.5 at Golf Galaxy recently and being impressed with how it felt and worked for me, I've just seen a very good priced one locally on FB marketplace. Right length for me too. So there's that... ha ha.

I like the deeper 'fanged' mallet and the alignment markings. I gamed a (loaner from a friend) similar shape Odyssey O-Works 7 last year and played really well with it. I have been toying with getting a mallet putter with that shape since then. And it's a Scotty...lol. so the Phantom is very tempting. Hmmmm...

This might delay the 7-wood change for a while. Ha ha.

That it is! My wife said since this is something I’ve been wanting for a while (since we met) that we will do it no matter what(her idea).Full bag, and clubs.i think I may have her talked into letting me go to the kingdom at reynolds lake also!

Reserved a time for driver fitting for Saturday. I'm really excited to see if I could get the dispersion a bit tighter with newer driver and better fitting shaft. I'm planning to test at least Qi10, AI Smoke and Darkspeed drivers. The place has also PXG available so why not giving a try for it as well. I have never tested any club from that brand but I go there open minded.

Hmmmm...

I had the original Odyssey #7 when introduced & it performed well....it just had a fickle owner.

I went through an extensive fitting(s) this winter - various manufactures & various models, thanks to a very patient fitter at Club Champion - Indy.

I settled on a Bettinardi Innovai 6.0. It's taken this pre-season to get re-accustomed to a milled face again (after a decade+ of playing inserts) but the roll is consistent

Waiting (not so) patiently for my Mizuno irons to arrive. And thinking about the remaining gaps in my set. The 923 forged has a 49 degree gap wedge and I'm wondering what the ideal wedge configuration would be from there. A 54 and 58? How do people decide? And would the 54 have extra bounce when opened to use out of sand when I need it? I have an old sand wedge that is great from green side sand, but has too much bounce to hit off grass consistently, but maybe carry 3 wedges beyond the 49 degree?

And then at the other end of the bag I have a driver and my 5 iron and need to figure out the gap on that end and what to fill it with. Maybe a 4 wood and a 3 and 4 hybrid? It's been so long since I played courses that hybrids are new to me.

And then figuring out which ones of each to get.

It's not necessarily strictly by, haha, degrees of separation.

The best thing is to test out different wedges and which loft gets you the distance .. with your let's call it comfortable swing .. works and feels best?

Then select a grind option based on your swing type and your -most common- playing conditions.

If you are able to go to a qualified club fitter that could be really helpful for you.

Makes sense. I find that, for the most part, I hit different brands of the same loft and club length very close in distance, so going by loft was what I assumed would be simplest.

Once I get used to the new irons and distances, I'll plan for a wedge fitting.

I'm thinking pairing it with a fitting for fairway woods and hybrids would make sense then too.
