Get 'em!!  I love my Callaway PM Grind wedges.  My 60º needs replacing this year, and I would probably get these if I hadn't bought a new 60º PM Grind before they were discontinued.

You wouldn't believe how many shots I hit near the toe on downhill/sidehill lies that turn out OK.  That never happened with standard wedges.  I probably don't know the nuances of hitting that shot in the middle of the club face, but I can get by with these wedges.

I've got their predecessors and I love them. I saw all the changes and the "new" grind and think that it can't do anything but help a little bit more.

With all the recent Cobra hype there is a LTD X which has the exact shaft i would like to play and well frankly I miss Cobra drivers... been a while since I have games one and feel like although the TItleist is great and I love the Paradym Triple Diamond (dont own) that this could be a fun club considering the price.

Motore X? I was waggling one in the golf galaxy and I think that's what was in it. It was Stiff flex and I normally buy R flex in the less whippy models, MCA R and PX 5.5 most recently.

That S flex Motore X had me thinking 🤔 maybe my woods should have stiff if I'm swinging faster with confidence. It felt great.

I have a set of Mizuno JPX 923 irons on order as we speak.  They outperformed the Ping 430's, and the Ping Raptures I brought with me by 15 yards using a 7 iron, consistently.  In other news, I purchased an old set of Adams tight lie fairway woods, as the strong 7 wood in my bag is fantastic.  What a mistake, I can't hit any of them!  Guess I'll try to trade them in for store credit when the time comes.  Oh, well.

Update-5 12 23

Exchanged the Dynamic gold R300 shafted irons for UST Mamiya Recoil ESX 460 F3 R graphite shafts and noticed greater performance and distance immediately.  You actually have to club down on these due to their incredible boring flight.  For a guy my age, it's a good problem to have.  Only had them for a week, but they will be in my bag for years to come.

Drooling over new wedges. Currently doing a deep dive on brands, bounces, grinds, lie angles, everything. I want the rtx6 zips so bad but man that's a pretty penny for one club. I also wish that wedge fitting was more easily accessible. I only have the local dicks sporting goods and the guys there are more or less clueless about the stuff that matters for wedges.

I have a hybrid fitting next week. I have never gotten along well with hybrids, and love my fairways, including a 9W. However, my swing has changed (recent lessons) that have produced a higher (and straighter!) ball flight, so the 9W now goes 8 miles high, and on windy days I swear it's coming back towards me. I may leave the 9W in on calm days, but I hope to have a better option for the wind. Plus, whenever I meet with my fitter we end up spending two or more hours playing around (I think he does it so he doesn't have to go back in and work the counter 😉), so I might end up with something else new as well.

I'm in the same boat. Some brand new wedges just always seem like a good idea. The RTX's sure look nice!

I am so debating a motorized cart! I currently have a Clicgear with all the accoutrements on it now.

Do I get the Alphard V2 with the front wheels? Or do I just get a totally new cart such as MotoCaddy  M7 or the MGI Zip Navigator?

The struggle is real

I Play in SW WA and in the PDX area

I like to walk, I have a Clicgear with all the accoutrements and I am considering getting a V2.

The 54° j grind is making me want to bend my vokey to 50° and my 56° full toe to 58°. I don't want to mess up the bounce, though. I play them well where they are set.

I am  looking at a new driver. I am currently playing a G400 with the sr shaft but have looked at the new Callaway, Ping, Wilson and soon the XXIO. I have been fortunate to demo the Callaway, Ping and Wilson on the course and have been pleased with all of them but it seems the Callaway Pardym has given me the better results. The Ping G430max was also very good. The question is "Are they 500-600 dollars better than my G400???". Doing a XXIO fitting at the local muni next week. Theoretically with my swing speed it should be a good fit. Being able to demo a club on the course really gives me the best feedback as compared to hitting on launch monitor indoors.

Callaway has the 50% trade in bonus toward new paradym and I got a free shipping code. Made me think for a second about turning 3 or 4 clubs into a brand new 4 hybrid.

Only drawback is their trade program is about 6 weeks backlogged on processing trades.

I’ve been looking at possibly buying some new Irons. I’m a big B/S/T guy and tinker a lot with clubs. That being said I’ve always gravitated heavily towards blades. I’m currently playing the Ben Hogan Icon irons and I love them. However, my performance doesn’t always match that same feeling. I’m looking purchasing a second hand set of the cobra MIM tour or mizuno JPX  forged irons to get a bit more forgiveness. Although the new cobra king tour forged irons look absolutely amazing!

I have been looking for a 7 wood to replace 19* TS2 hybrid.  Reasoning is for higher ball launch and be able to work ball both ways.  I seem to overdraw by hybrid too often.

I want the rtx6 zips so bad but man that's a pretty penny for one club. I also wish that wedge fitting was more easily accessible. I only have the local dicks sporting goods and the guys there are more or less clueless about the stuff that matters for wedges.

Maybe check the Cleveland website try to see if there's an upcoming demo day near you..?

Have a CBX2 wedge and pretty happy with it; would upgrade to the RTX Zipcore *if* mine was worn out.. which it's not.. still got a ways to go..

I am so debating a motorized cart! I currently have a Clicgear with all the accoutrements on it now.

Do I get the Alphard V2 with the front wheels? Or do I just get a totally new cart such as MotoCaddy  M7 or the MGI Zip Navigator?

The struggle is real

Very nice! FYI I have an MGI Zip Navigator and got my wife a Club Booster V2 for her Bag Boy Quad XL. Both work great for us.

The biggest difference imo with the Club Booster conversion is you're pretty much always using the remote (there's also a smartphone app) and navigating tight spaces can be tricky at first. If you have a compatible push cart with a swivel front wheel that would work better vs what we have.

Otherwise battery life, functionality on the course, etc are somewhat comparable. The other differentiator is price.

This shouldn't come as a surprise,  but I am back to thinking about putters.   Have been focused on practicing my putting over the past few days and coming up short has been a common occurrence so I am looking for a putter with a little hotter face.   I know making a bigger swing would result in more distance,  but in my practice I feel like I am making a big enough swing and making a bigger one is mentally tough.

Going to try and figure out what parameters could make a putter hotter.   More total weight,  more headweight,  more backweight, thicker face,  thinner face, blade, mallet, shaft, or something else.   I know ball speed varies between putters based on my doing most wanted testing.

For those that don't think there is much difference, here is an interesting article: https://www.paulhurrion.com/media/impact-ratio/

The Taylor Made BRNR mini driver. Can’t say for certain that it is anything more than nostalgia for Burner driver with the ti bubble shaft I played as a teenager. Something about it is definitely intriguing though

I am thinking about a couple of things.  The first is that in the driver I had l bought last year, G 425 LST, I am really struggling to hit it straight, or even at all.  Whereas my G400 Max (both are PING) is great and I am able to keep it in the fairay 70/80% of the time.  I tried to hit both at the range one after the other and the Max was much better. Comparing the details, I see i) the shaft in the G425 is longer about 1 inch or slightly more, 2) the shaft on the G425 is an SR, or soft regular, which is PING's lightest shaft for the drivers and I think it generates too much whip. I noticed that when I take a slower backswing, I seem to have more control of those shots.  So I am going to see the fitter with both clubs (the G400 has a Mitsubishi R) to see what we can do.

Second area is around hybrid/woods. I am not getting what I want out of my 5 and 6 irons so I have a gap in the 150-160 range.  I was thinking about PING's 9 wood or 4 hybrid, which is it's equivalent.   I would need to try them both to see which one is easier to get up in the air, although I assume the 9 has better stopping power like the 7 does. Not in a rush this year but would like to try it out.

went to DGS to check out the "bargain" area. Saw a Rogue ST Max 9 wood as well and a Rogue ST OS 4 hybrid. The 9 wood looks so usable. it has me thinking but not for $224.
