MattF
Update, the starter was toast. $75 for a tow because even beating on the starter didn't work. $475 for a new starter and labour...not the way I really wanted to start the weekend, but she's alive to break down another day. kardboard.kid
Yesterday I dropped my phone. This is something that I have done repeatedly for the past 2 years and there was never any damage, except to the edges. They have chips, and scratches galore. I pick up my phone this time to find a very destroyed face. It is black and without life. Took to a place that can replace the fronts, and had to order the part. We're looking at Monday for the repair. UGH! robertson153
Well, this one could go either way...you're getting a new car or you're getting a car repaired .I was getting a new one but happy wife = happy life . Now to the reason I stopped in here to being with. Yesterday at work I picked up a 8” water valve (110lbs) and wrestled into place standing in knee deep water and mud. Today I’m pretty sure I’ve pulled something under my rib area. But glad it’s no golfing weather or this really would be terrible. ole gray
I sold a driver to one of my golfing acquaintances yesterday. It was the new Taylormade M5. He hit it really well on the course and I gave him a drop jaw deal of $300.00. He paid the cash and while smiling said, " you going to buy it back if I can't hit it right?" I smiled back and said, " all sales are final". Well this morning he sent a text (Does this driver come with a guarantee that I can hit it !!!). Now I wondering if he was serious about buying it and having buyers remorse. Heck I wish I could have gotten my money back after I bought it and it didn't pan out however once you take the wrapper and stickers off those suckers, they depreciate a ton. $550.00 driver will get you $200.00 bucks on a trade in. I still have the $300.00 bucks cash he paid me . It's a bit awkward but if he renigs on the deal, would you give him his cash back or tell him sorry charlie. My heart says give him his cash back and mark it down as learning lesson about selling clubs to someone in your players group. He's not a close friend by any means however I see him quite often and things could get awkward. Thoughts? If he decides to ask for a refund, are any of you interested in the latest TaylorMade M5 driver? Sale for $300.00 + shipping or possible trade for driver of equal value. I'll post some pics in the sales thread if he decides to bail out on our deal..... robertson153
That’s a tough one OG. And that’s why I try not to do business with anyone I’m going to see on a regular basis. One side wants to say “you bought the cotton pickin thing, it’s yours” I can tell the other side wants to be compassionate. It’s up to you. If the guys a jerk about it, demanding his money back, I would be hesitant. If he is sincere and practically begs, I’d give it back. My knee replacement that was supposed to happen this Spring is on hold and will probably do Supartz for now, not in a rush for any hospitals right now. I start PT this coming week and hope to be playing by May. We have a couple more issues with close friends (cancer) and that’s been tough on SWMBO. Anyway enough of my sad story but hope to be around a bit more this Spring & Summer. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Wow. Sorry to hear about all the issues. Glad you're back with us.
