That's an interesting old vintage club. I like it's labeled "off-set" on the sole. Ha!

However, and in my early days of golf a 1-iron was the knife.

I can flood this thread--- if I get my photo capabilites up again. I am having trouble getting pics to my folders off the phone. Everything I own except the Callys in my signature are blade butter knives. And yes I have quite a few butter knife 1 irons and most of my 2 irons are bent back to at least 18 or 19*

I am starting to collect old clubs. I picked this up off a guy for $3.00 a few years ago. The L is for ladies I believe, but I've hit this thing and hit it well. Smooth tempo and it gets the job done. Note their version of offset!

Want to do something joyful and fun that you will remember the rest of your days? Go out one morning when the temp is in the high or mid 30s and hit some range rocks with that thing. The vibration and sting ohhhhh you will never forget. Ask any of the old timers like myself   :D

Nah, I'll pass. Haha. I have plenty of experience with my old Wilson's and miss hits. I'm a true believer in aim small miss small, can't wait to get blades back in the bag. They FORCE you to be a good ball striker, or your hands are numb for the next 17 holes.

Hey had to do this one for all the MGS members  LOL posted this by mistake on WRX one night and got them started I can be a computer klutz at times. You will note why right off the bat

20160817_151413.jpg

LOL Adam the owner sent me that in the mail LOL. LOL again I was front line gaming the Muirfields then and if you look closely you will see the famous Mr Rusty the rusty Cameron Santa Fe I rescued off the scrap pile. Love that rusty thing--- Around here it is referred to as "That Rusty SOB Scotty"--- He does pretty well but at times I have to threaten to take him to the shredder where he was destined for when I spotted and rescued him

I will give you guys a couple more since I am rolling and neither me or the computer are screwing upATT_1459552287697_20160401_190449.jpg

Model 1 Hand Made Custom Toney Penna driver this driver was given to me by a friend who won it in a tournament back in the 80s. It has been displayed in his office and when he switched jobs he gave it to me. It has NEVER hit a golf ball. This is a true handmade all the screws in the sole plate and face are perfectly aligned and the weight port screw in the bottom is perfectly aligned with the face. I have about 25 Penna drivers in my stash so I have plenty to hit and this one as long as I live will never hit one

20151107_180731.jpg

1980 VIP 56* SW one of Curtis Strange's personal wedges given to me by him. You will see some of these on the bay from time to time with the etching numbers without the "p" on the end. This is a genuine Strange designed Don White ground item. The "P" designates it was one of his personal wedges. Curtis and Alan's old man and my old man were buddies. I ran into them at Harbour Town about 12 years ago now when I was playing the minis and tried to Monday qualify for the Heritage. I was gaming those exact VIPs in the previous photos and had just went to a metal driver from persimmon and still had the persimmon H&B 4 wood in the bag. LOL I remember my first metal driver was a small headed Founder's Club Judge 300 CC with a X-1000 Steel shaft. Curtis used to play simular VIPs and was amazed I was still playing them and trying to qualify for a PGA event. Curtis and Allan are only a couple of years older than I am.. BTW I did not qualify shot 79 on a wind swept course but I tried. I did carry this wedge in the qualifying round and hit it since he gave it to me but it has a little too much offset for me. I may have hit in practice and play maybe 50 balls with it. Have not hit one since

Yep just some of my stuff thanks for getting me going this morning you made a bright day for me. I had a crappy day at church today of all places and ended up resigning as chief sound and video technician after 8 years today. I also resigned as security chief after starting that program a year ago. Yep all of that on Easter Sunday. yep you guys brightened my day showing off my vintage stuff. Thanks again

My 58' Hogan's

Man those are nice. I am glad to see another classic nut like myself on here even if you are a Hogan man  :D  I have friends in Texas that I know. One of them is a former PGA Tour player and all of those Texas boys are Die hard classic Hogan fans--- I told PJ on another thread the other day I needed to cruise down there and give them a "Macgregor" Dusting. I have quite a few Hogan wedges and a special 99 Apex 2 iron. I actually in the 80s had a Hogan staff bag like yours because my old man was briefly a Hogan dealer and believe it or not had a set of 66 Power Bilt Horseshoe Citation irons in it, Penna Model 65 driver and H&B Louisville 4 wood, Ping Anser putter believe it or not a Hogan Equalizer PW and a Wilson R-90 SW. This may have been around the time I switched to a Ping Karsten 1 1 iron or I may have still had the 985 Tourney Custom in. Man I used that bag until it fell apart.

You have known me long enough to know I am one capable "redneck engineer". You ought to see my security systems.  :D .  But very few would know what to do with my "junk" except sell it for scrap metal   I have a sign on the building out back "This building is guarded by shotgun 4 nights a week----You guess which 4" The management group tried to make me take it off and I told them where to stick it. I dared them to try to take it off---it still is on there 5 years later

Stu - that MacGregor Staff bag is killer.  Been hunting for a MacGregor bag on eBay to go with my VIP's - think I'm gonna game them for the foreseeable future. I may have committed some sort of sacrilege, however. Didn't like the Rifle 5.0 shafts so I had them reshafted - a buddy put in some "new" Hogan Apex 4 shafts. He's a club builder here in MN and bought up a ton of sets in the early 2000's. He hates KBS C-Tapers with a passion, but he swears by the old Hogan Apex shafts.

Those Hogans were free. I wouldn't have them if it weren't for my Bad A$$ mail man. Just gave them to me. I picked the bag up about 15 years ago on the side of the road in some ones trash just sitting there.

I won't play the things, just for fun. I have some other older stuff back at my dads. I guess I can't afford a classic car, so maybe classic clubs will be my vice.

Probably start collecting old blade putters.

Also have a Titleist 3 wood from the 70's that needs refinishing.

There is a place back home that might have what your looking for. I'm heading there in a few weeks, I'll take a look for you.
