Nothing fancy. Just BBQ ribs on the smoker. IMG_1407.jpeg.533f24bf0a3f004f395e34b84eb314de.jpeg

Also had some watermelon. Love summer.

Meat church and Kosmos Q have the best rubs.  But for seasonings,  I have to go with weber or kinder brand.

Those look like they turned out wonderfully! I've been wanting to do ribs and haven't yet since my SIL doesn't like meat on the bone. I think I might get some for the week of shutdown and make something else for her.

Excellent job!!!  I've only done full beef bone ribs a few times. I get the beef riblets pretty cheap, but the pull back and shrinkage leaves not alot of meat left.

They’re super simple to cook. Just throw em on and leave em. Spray em every couple hours to help bark form. But no wrapping needed.

I’ve taken them off bones and chopped them up as well. I call it Brisket on a Stick. Way prefer over doing brisket.

I love doing beef ribs but I’m usually done in 5-6 hours. What makes it take 12 hours for you?

Mine are usually 8-9 hours (no wrap) at 250°. These hit the stall and didn’t want to come out of it. So I let them ride it out until they were finished. I’d rather eat late or next day than try to rush the cook if it chooses to be stubborn.

Not for the plate Beef Ribs. I keep it super simple as I’m going for maximum bark. Not saying it’s the right way, but always how I’ve done them and have enjoyed it.

For you pellet grillers, lowes has 20# royal oak pure charcoal pellets for $12 a bag amd pitboss premium blend 40# bags for $14

Don't know elsewhere, but here it's hard to get the charcoal pellets. I mix them 50/50 with other blends. The charcoal flavor really come through!

I made breakfast for dinner tonight, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage and hash browns.

20240629_185944.jpg.f0a3988b3593661c05b0da30deee9ef3.jpg20240629_185948.jpg.ea221cd6c6588beb7aa8e9fc52b22bb0.jpg

I actually made the biscuits from scratch. It was almost a disaster as i added too much buttermilk to the mix and was turning into a concoction that would make Spider-Man proud. It was sticking to everything. We finally toned it down and they turned out good for a first attempt. I still need to work on it, but I'm happy with the initial result.
