Once A&M moved to the SEC their recruiting classes have been far better than Texas Univ. and OU. Not sure why Sanders didn't play more, but was a very good game and if our kicker hadn't missed a FG we would have gone to overtime.

I'm disappointed that they broke up the old SWC.

That had tradition.  That made The Cotton Bowl Game a Major.

There are twelve Texas schools playing FBS now.

You could have let Arkansas walk and had a nice, all-Texas league.

I've been in favor of four regional 16 team conferences sending their conference champion to the playoff for years now and put an end to subjective picking of teams included in playoffs. I think it would help balance out the imbalance in recruiting nation wide.

I'm all for regional rivalries which makes A&M's "100 Year Decision" puzzling. They're supposed to be all about tradition, right?

IMO, Nebraska, Mizzou, and Arkansas shot themselves in the foot and cut off recruiting pipelines to TX by leaving the Big 12 and SWC. But, I don't necessarily think geographic mega-conferences will "balance out" recruiting. It'd make for more interesting match-ups and better TV, though, as would an expanded CFB playoff.

I don't necessarily think UTEP, UTSA, and Rice belong with the P5 teams, but yeah, I miss the good ol' SWC.

Yeah, the Pro Tour brand is theirs, and I love it.  Typically I can get shirts for < $20 when you factor in the discounts they give you.  Buy 2 or 3 shirts and suddenly shipping becomes nominal.  The pants and shorts are great too, and typically sell for $25 or less.  I stumbled upon a deal on shorts one time when I was in SC wear they had Buy 2 get 1 free, and the cost for all 3 was like $18 per pair of shorts.  That was on Haggar shorts too.  Couldn't pass up that deal.  Great shorts too, as I still wear them almost 4 years later.

Our offense sputters every first half of conference games. Kicks it up in the 2nd half. Offense was anemic first half against the deepest, most physical defense we've played in a long, long time. Defense was getting whipped but made adjustments in second half. Sorry not sorry you lost money. Hopefully you didn't bet against your Horns when we played y'all earlier in the season. 

And to add to the riveting conversation that our fun loving UT alum has stirred the pot a bit...

A&M averaged 7 wins/season in the Big 12. 3 non-conference games plus 8 conference games. They went 2-9 in bowl games while a member of the Big 12. They won the 1998 Big 12 Championship. 

In the SEC, A&M has averaged 8.5 wins in the SEC. 4 non-conference games plus 8 conference games. They've gone 5-3 in bowl games as a member of the SEC. If the SEC West was the Olympics, they made it to the podium twice thanks to a Heisman QB in 2012 and a solid defense in 2018. 

A&M's SEC success can easily be attributed to the additional non-conference game. And yes, their recruiting got a bump with the jump to the SEC but they threw a hissy fit and left the Big 12 because their ego got in the way. They now play in the toughest division in football and any sort of hope of a conference championship will need every star in the f&*%ing universe to align. It's comical to watch. 

UT on the other hand...

Has every resource in the land. Has the deepest pockets in college football. Has access to the best talent in the country...

And yet, they haven't done jack crap since YE Yang won the PGA. You moved on from a coach that took you to 2 NCs and haven't found a replacement in 6 years. You have a clown for a coach and haven't won a conference championship in a decade. And it's not just in football that you haven't had success. You other major sports, men's and women's basketball and baseball, haven't done squat this past decade either. All that money. All that talent. All that empty space in the rafters. 

What has to piss them off the most is the fact that lowly Baylor had to go through a massive scandal to finally beat Baylor on the football field, only to watch them return quicker than anyone ever expected. And to give folks a little background, every damning story that broke prior to Baylor firing Briles came from one city in America...Austin, TX. There was no coincidence that the stories erupted shortly after Baylor had beaten UT three years in a row. Briles owned Charlie Strong...as did most teams in the Big 12. It's tough to deny the burnt orange nation didn't have a hand in making sure the stories were in the laps at ESPN before the local media even got a whiff of a story. And you're welcome for the recruits that UT picked up from the scandal. No team benefited more than UT from our lost class of 2016. But it's all good. You have the longhorn network. It's amazing to watch Colt McCoy highlights from 2009 or Vince Young pre-cheesecake factory highlights from 2005. Those were respectable teams. Now, not so much. Keep living in the early 2000s. 

Oh...and UT lost to Kansas in football...

That isn't strictly correct. A&M has had years where they recruit better than Texas and OU, but overall they have similar recruiting profiles. Texas and OU are slightly better recruiters but all are within 5 spots of each other, so it's pretty close.

• Thanks for the novel, Junkie. Y'all should've watched how UT handled UGA just last year in the Sugar Bowl and learned something.  In hindsight, it was a BIG mistake betting on Baylor because they have little to no history in NY6 games. Learned my lesson - never again.
• Who didn't "own Charlie Strong"? Hardly something to brag about. That's why we fired him after only 3 years.
• It amuses me that you've implied UT was behind exposing the Briles scandal and cover-up despite evidence to the contrary. Sorry not sorry he's now calling 3A high school ball in east TX.

And my god.... Kansas has NOT finished in the top 5 more than BU or A&M. Kansas has never finished in the top 5 of the polls since the B12s inception and has exactly 1 top 5 finish in the conference in that time. Hell they've only had 3 winning seasons since then.

I'm sorry to any Kansas fans in here but Kansas is historically one of the worst P5 of all time.
