Hook DeLoft
Have you had any slower swingers try this shaft? I swing the driver in the mid to high 80's and am wondering if the 75's would be a possible fit. 2 Quote 14 of the following: Ping G425 Max Callaway Epic Max 5 wood Cobra F9 Speedback 7/8 wood set at 23.5 degrees Callaway Epic Max 11 wood PXG 0211ST 6-GW Cobra LTx 5-GW (never hit the 5) Hogan sand wedge 56 degree bent to 54 Maltby M Series+ 54 degree Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 58 degree Ping Glide 3.0 60 degree Evnroll ER2 Ping Sigma 2 Anser
Popeye64
Yes i have. An 80 yo has been testing a 75g R flex with excellent results. He gained almost 10 yards and is launching the ball much higher. I am going to send him a 75 A flex now that I have one. The 75g shaft will work well for you. Do you normally play an R flex or an A?Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
Hook DeLoft
I have a couple of sets of irons, Mizuno HMBs with regular flex Recoil ESX 460 and a set of Mavrik Max's with the senior flex Catalyst shaft. The senior flex seem to work better, but the club head is so much more forgiving on the Mavriks that it is hard to say that a regular wouldn't also give me good results. When swinging well, my tempo is pretty smooth with a slowish backswing. What's the retail price of the Rapid Tapers? 1 Quote 14 of the following: Ping G425 Max Callaway Epic Max 5 wood Cobra F9 Speedback 7/8 wood set at 23.5 degrees Callaway Epic Max 11 wood PXG 0211ST 6-GW Cobra LTx 5-GW (never hit the 5) Hogan sand wedge 56 degree bent to 54 Maltby M Series+ 54 degree Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 58 degree Ping Glide 3.0 60 degree Evnroll ER2 Ping Sigma 2 Anser
MattF
@Popeye64 do you know when they'll be shown on the website? I'm seriously thinking of getting one in S flex and throwing a DBM head on it for testing. 1 Quote In the bag: Driver: TSi2 Project X HZRDUS Smoke RDX Black 6.0 Hybrid: Fli Hi 3 & 4 Project X HZRDUS Smoke RDX Black 80 6.0 Irons: JPX 923 HMP 5-PW UST Mamiya Recoil 95 F4 Wedges: T-22 Denim Copper 48°, 52° & 56° UST Mamiya Recoil 95 F4 Putter Sycamore 005 Wide Blade Bag: Alpha Convoy 514 Balls: RB Tour or RB Tour X Cart: CaddyLite ONE Ver. 8 God Bless America, God save the King, God defend New Zealand and thank Christ for Australia! I'm seriously thinking of getting one in S flex and throwing a DBM head on it for testing. The IT crew working on getting these on the web site are mindblowing in how slow they are. Its been extremely frustrating at why these are not online. Hopefully there will be a spot soon where you can order single shafts from the website. This is a shaft that has to be experienced. I am sure some of you have read other reviews and know how well these are working for a broad crossection of golfers. I want to get these out to as many golfers as I can. The feel and performance is like puring a shot over and over again. That center of the club face of a pure blade strike. So many people have Hit these and then looked up with a weird look on their face not knowing what just happened. Then mumbling about feel and hitting another ball. You can pm me and I can get shafts to you now, but I do recommend buying two to do one long iron and one short. I want to develop a demo iron program similar to what Ben Hogan golf is doing. Sending out test clubs for a 10 day trial. Working on the details. Hope to have that in place by months end. Popeye64
I love the idea of a demo program! I have never tested the shafts but have only heard excellent things about all the shafts in the lineI believe I will do it with the PTM 6 iron heads. I already have a decent collection of them. Probably wouldn't have to pick up too many more of them. I could also do an A flex with the SGI 890 head in a 7 iron. Popeye64
Later this week i will have TS-1, TS-2, PTM, STi2 and an M890 head for demos with the Rapid Taper shafts. If anyone is interested send me a PM. I'll have a variety of flexes and the M890 in an A flex. Good for a woman or gramps. Popeye64
Your RTs are all black? The ones online are grey and red. How do I get the all black version?Mine are all samples so the samples were just black. Down the road I'm hoping that a special addition all black or a matte black will be done. If for nothing else ill be ordering some for myself. So for right now its just the Silver ion with the rings and logo. At first I was not a fan but the design has more than grown on me. Plus in person people really seem to like it. The sets I have built with the painted shafts i have yet to have anyone say anything negative about them in person. edingc
Finally got a chance to play around more seriously with the 75g Rapid Taper from @Popeye64 that I put into a Cobra SpeedZone 4 iron head. With the Arccos Smart Grip the club came out to 39.75" and D2 swingweight with no additional head weight. The few times I swung the club over the past weeks I really struggled adjusting to the light weight, but in taking Brian's advice you really do need to let the shaft and club do the work. I liked the feel of the shaft/head combo, and it looks like it's going to be the perfect driving iron good for 210-220 carry on my best shots. I really liked how I could hit a full, high-launching shot (likely thanks to the SpeedZone head), but also work some lower launching shots that would be great into the wind. After my initial experiences I thought the club might lose out to my Tour Edge 3 iron with a UST Mamiya Recoil shaft, but I really, really like and need the higher launch of the SpeedZone head. So for now the goal is to get really deadly with the combination over my winter practice sessions. It could really stand to be about a half inch shorter, but I think I'll just play it choked up a bit unless I get the itch to chop it down and re-weight the head. If I ever go graphite in my irons, I'd definitely look hard at the 95-gram RTs. 3 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 6.7 / Anti-Cap: 12.8 (Last Updated Oct. 13, 2022) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", UST Mamiya Recoil 110 F5 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. So many people talk about the second range sessions as being OMG moments. These clubs are really starting to gain traction especially with club builders who are just learning about them. The versatility of the 75g shafts are freakish. Wait a year and these shafts will be everywhere. I will be testing a sub 60g driver shaft next week that has speced out better than imagined. Hoping its a revelation like the 75g shafts. Time will tell. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk

Ace329
I play standard length with my steel shaft. For example, if my standard length for my 7 iron length is 37. Back in the day graphite standard length required an additional 1/2 inch to standard lenght. What is the standard length on a 7 iron with RTI shaft?
