Down here thats what we call stuff thats applied to holes or cracks in the walls, and sets hard to be sanded back and painted.  can be applied as a paste or sometimes in an aerosol can that expands to fill gaps.  Not sure if thats ideal as it might shrink overtime and break up

Oh man I didn't even think of that! 

So poly fill or poly fiber here, is the stuff that goes inside of pillows and stuffed toys.

I’ve been playing a 3H and 4H since last summer. I originally built the 3H and absolutely loved it and added the 4H last fall.   Main reason is I could build it heavier (with weights) and shorter, and I love the deep face so it allows me to play it more like an iron.

I will say that it’s not the most forgiving on thin hits (the newer Pro IST may be better) so if you are a sweeper the IST may be better. But since I really hit down on the hybrids like an iron, they work perfectly for me.  I love them so much it’s a) the first time I’ve had hybrids in my bag longer than a few rounds and b) actually thinking of adding the 5H when they get back in stock.

I’m a no-divot guy. I pretty much just give the rough a tight crew cut. I actually have some trouble in the middle of the fairway if it’s dried out or shabby since there’s little cushion under the ball. I’ve got to concentrate on hitting down…so I’d say ‘sweeper’ or ‘picker’ described me well. 

I’m a fan of hybrids and hit them better than woods, at least historically. Currently I bag a 3,4,5 Hy, but they’re over 10 years old and new technology will be helpful. I like Maltby’s offerings, but don’t have any experience with their long clubs. I was fitted into G430 hybrids and Qi10 Max FWs with a soft tip, med/high torque shaft.  So looking for a more forgiving club and a shaft to help with loft. 

Any feel for how Matlby’s hybrids would compare?

To be honest, Pings hybrids are the most forgiving. The G430 is pretty much the best hybrid out now but I cant justify the price as I only bag a 5 hybrid and use a 7 wood most of the time Im 200ish out. If the cost isnt a major concern, I like their choices.

The newer E723 line is a little less long but a tad bit more forgiving if you prefer new. Plus a lifetime warrantee.

Can you compare the Tour Edge hybrids to other brands? Just looking for similarities as they’re new to me. (I’ve read that they’ve been around for quite a few years, just new to me).

Sure they have two types,  one more for players who want to shape with the adams head design c723/c722 or very low spin options like the CBX 119 with a smaller head or their pro version. Then the ones that are like very forgiving almost mini fairway woods exs 220, E723/E722. The C721 is kinda right between the two. Id say the E line is the shape of Callaway Paradigm and the C would be like the Apex pro version. Theyre long and very easy to hit and have a great feel and sound.

Put these in my TS3's last night. Playing tomorrow. Wish me luck!

If these end up staying in, there's a 110% chance that when Maltby drops the DBM heads, I'll be going fully murdered out! Hide your ladies and your cash, cuz I'm gonna be soooo gangster!

Youre gonna love it. Once I swapped my Modus shafts out for the MMT, the feel got even better.

OMG! How did it take me so long to make this change?!

I haven't picked up a club in almost 2 months being busy with a house move. I shot my PB at one of my favorite courses The Duke. I definitely need to put in some time just to fine-tune how these react with my swing but shooting a blind 74 with no range time prior?! I'll take it! 

What was most exciting was how the 6, 5, and 4 irons felt and played. Hitting the green from over 200 yards is always a treat. Not only did I hit the green with each long approach shot but the thing just flew on a rope landing within 10 feet. I had legit eagle putting opportunities and a handful of birdie putt chances. I closed out with 4 birdies and about 3 more just burn the edge of the hole. 

These shafts are SO GOOD and are definitely here to stay!

How was the feel and kick? Did you have to push them to work or were they smooth and kick on their own? I'm looking forward to their restock to build the ts1-im's.

The bend profile of these is relatively broad. The feel is more of a swoop than a punch.. if that makes any sense. Also, the flight is kind of mid. Slightly penetration, but higher than flat. It's a really nice trajectory.

How about the feel when puring a ts3 with the graphite shafts and watching that ball fly high and stick the green? Best feeling clubs I have ever used. So soft

That pak is a significant savings over the component costs. About $10 a club.

That's what I was thinking. My only hold back is that I have never swung a graphite iron before. Might want to go try a GI iron with graphite shaft at the PGA Store first.

You could just have a single club built with the graphite shaft. 

If you go to PGATSS, be sure to find something in the 85-90g range with a similar bend profile. There are so many options in graphite that you just want to make sure you're at least comparing something similar.

I had a set of PTM with the NV 85g shafts. I really struggled with knock down shots which I hit a fair amount of. Most didn't get half way to the green.

It's funny I was about to buy the NV 100g black shafts but they were out of stock so I bought the Maltby MPF pros. I've used them in single clubs before and put them in the original KE4 MAX set that I built my dad a while back so I knew they were good. I just never played a full set that I custom built for myself. Now that they're in my specs, they're really amazing! 

I've been chatting with @Shrek74 through PM sharing my build specs. I cut these with some unique spacing and length. I was still expecting the SW's to come out light.. but to my surprise, they turned really nice. I'm going to play a few rounds and see if they even need any adjusting. 

I started with my most comfortable club (9i) and built it +1/2" over the recommend length for graphite. Then I spaced them all at 3/8" apart. Here are the results..

Cut/playing lengths 

SW results with nothing added or removed. On paper I could probably tweak a few with a little lead tape but I'll see if that's even necessary.
