I hope it keeps going.  I love watching the European Tour Events.  Especially the early ones in S. Afrika, Morocco, Kenya.  I just love the backdrop of these events.  I hope they figure it out, I would hate for it to collapse.  Love watching it at 4 am.

Wholeheartedly agree (except for the 4am stuff... ) I think Keith Pelley did what he felt he had to do to stay viable.  That said, Id also like to see a competing circuit take on players like Poulter and McDowell, just to see what comes of it.  If it affects their Ryder Cup status (Captaincy, etc) they won't budge, but other players might.  Money makes the World go around.

...and spin off axis .  The allure of huge payouts to the likes of Poulter, McDowell, Westwood, and many others will eventually, I suspect, win the day.  What is does to the various tours around the globe, and what if any PGA limitations survive almost certain legal challenges, remains to be seen.  Count me amongst those who aren't very excited about the likely outcome.

I don't want to see anyone ruin their "legacy", but it seems if this money was coming from Silicon Valley and not Saudi, more people would (rightly so) be on board with some type of "team golf/big money" league to compete against the PGA Tour.  We all love Ryder Cup and President's Cup.  Watching alternate shot and four balls is highly entertaining, especially when the stakes are high.

I'm 55, not sure about others posting on this.  But I remember watching guys like Louie Oosthuisen, and others, playing Euro events before they played any PGA events.  Liked tracking them and then seeing them make the PGA tour.
