Useful New(ish) Feature on My Garmin S42 Watch

Recommended Posts

I've had a Garmin S42 GPS golf watch for over a year.   With about 150 rounds with it, I find it accurate, easy to read and full of golf and non-golf related features.  However, one of the annoying things that I found using it was not remembering to input a score at the end of each hole.  Sure, you can go back into the watch, scroll down and input the score but that takes extra time and effort.  Once I leave the green I'm already starting to think about the next hole and do not need the distraction of scrolling through watch screens to catch up on scoring.

I finally updated the watch software a few weeks ago and stumbled upon a new-ish feature I hadn't seen (or felt) before.  Now, as I'm leaving a hole the watch will vibrate to remind you to input your hole score.  It has a little pencil icon on the bottom of the green front, middle and back screen that you touch and up pops the scoring screen.  I haven't missed a hole score since the feature was added.

Thank you Garmin for adding this feature.
