Arrange a game using the MGS Community Map!

Whether you are trying to arrange a game with members in your area, or you are travelling to another city and would like to know more about the courses in your destination area and possibly play with a fellow Spy - remember to check out the MGS Community Map.

 

Be sure to add your profile on the map and feel free to share all the accolades and nuances of your home course in the "Course Review" section.

It is winter, but maybe there is someone close to you for some simulator play as well. Be sure to check out the community map for both members near by and some course reviews. 

If you haven't seen this before be sure to set yourself up so others can find you (if you want to meet other spies) and also get involved with course reviews as we build our review library!

Did this get discontinued or am I just missing where it is located? I cannot find it anywhere and am very interested in contributing and finding some folks to golf with.

Thanks for the response.

My version of the website does not look like the image at all so the direct link was needed.  It will not let me add a location at all (tried three different browsers with various issues in each), so some functionality must be lost during the website refresh that seems to be pending on the main page.

For anyone also having issues with the "Add Location" functionality due to web browser's not bringing up search results for locations you can try the following:

- select Browse Markers

- manually search the map this way and add your location as a Member marker type

If you can provide more info about what OS, the browser(s) you are using, and the specific errors you are seeing @GolfSpy_APH or one of the other mods should be able to help you more.   Not sure what refresh you are referring to; I don’t see any messages about that.

Funny - my map had the same issue on my browser -- but adding it manually worked.  Thank you, @nynoles!

Yes, I had to select Browse Markers and manually search the map to find a location and add the Member marker that way.  The search functionality when I selected "Add Location" on the main page was not returning results at all (image attached). Same issue with Chrome and Firefox and any search term used.

There is an update for this application that at the moment we are unable to run due to some license issues. 

I am working to resolve this to run the update and this would hopefully sort this issue.

Glad I founds this - was trying to add my marker through zip code.  Makes sense!

We are hoping to soon get the main update for it as well which will add some flexibility and user friendliness.

Is this map still inop? Hoping to use it to find some Spies in CA and maybe OR/NV/CO/AZ/NM around the first part of July.

During the community call Jamie said the maps probably not coming back.

Unfortunately it won't likely be coming back. To organize something I would suggest making a new thread/post in the area section that will get some attention. That should help.

Working on a new one, but for now we do have the area threads which can help!
