Popular Post Erin B
Good Sunday funday to you MGS Troops! Windy as hell here in Cheyenne Wyoming. 50mph gusts again. No golf for me today. I’m going to spend some time with the spousal unit and our daughter and her new fiancée! Yep there was a request for our daughter’s hand, a proposal, and an acceptance last night! I found out this had been planned for months. I had a feeling it was! A dad knows! This is something good after such a sad tragedy for us. Zoey’s fiancée is on the University of Wyoming’s swim team and three of her teammates were killed in that car crash on Thursday. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/wyoming-swim-team-members-killed-crash-identified-heartsick Anyway, a fantastic evening last night! And the first night in the last couple of nights I actually slept. Oh, almost forgot!!! Finished my test of the Callaway balls. Check it out!!! I hope you enjoy the review and maybe check out Callaway golf balls. These new ones are pretty good. Happy Birdie Hunting!!! Popular Post ILMgolfnut
21 hours ago, RockerFCC said: A Very Good Morning to you Spies, Today is the Grand Opening for my new Golf Sim business, Highwood Private Fairway. It's a single bay Trackman oriented towards private membership. If you are anywhere near Highwood Illinois come by and say Hi! Lots of work, as you have seen in my posts, and it's all done (mostly LOL) so looking forward to this. Might even help my golf game Cheers, and hit em straight if you can! Looks great! Do we get a Spy discount? Top of the Sunday mornin' to you, Spies! One of my new drills from last Monday's lesson was an angle of attack drill: Place a headcover, or a piece of pool noodle, about a grip's length from your tee, try to hit the ball (or clip the tee) without hitting the headcover/noodle. If you're successful, that means you're hitting up on your drives, which I need to be doing, I was doing that drill in the back yard yesterday (no ball, just a tee stuck in the dirt, trying to clip it). GF came out in the back yard to watch; she's really trying to get interested in golf which I appreciate. But my AoA was a little bit off (OK a lot off) on one swing and the headcover went flying about 10 yards. Scared GF to death. She thought I'd hit a ball in the general direction of our cars. Honey, I'm dumb, but not that dumb; no ball here. And most of the rest of my swings left the headcover undisturbed, so maybe I'm making progress. Followed that by doing some drills I found on a Rypstick video, basically three types of swings right handed and then left-handed. Not sure how much time there will be for golf, or workouts this week. Schedule is insane: Three appointments on Monday, two cats to the vet on Tuesday, jury duty on Wednesday (and beyond?). But hopefully I can work in some of the AoA drill and some workouts. My "strength for senior golfers" workout, which I finally did in its entirety Friday morning, kicked me in the butt. Literally. Glutes were stiff and sore last night. Although seven hours in the car on Friday didn't help that either. Oh, an update on my erosion-plagued club in Scotland: The club manager emailed me to say restoration work starts Monday and they're hoping to see a major difference in 2-3 weeks. The GoFundMe page has raised a few thousand pounds, led by a thousand from the Japan Hickory Society (Fortrose and Rosemarkie is hosting a hickory-club tournament this year), but nowhere near the 100,000GBP goal. Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Well the Spring Training game yesterday was fun, but dull. Cleveland just couldn't get the ball in the air. Both teams changed pitchers every inning so that was interesting. My friend from Ohio and his son were good with the game as both teams were from Ohio. The Reds pitchers were spot on, but the son works for the field where the Cleveland team plays... They handed out hats yesterday and my wife spotted a maybe 10 year old girl who was clearly going through cancer treatment. She and her family came through the gate after the hats were all gone so my wife offered her ours. The little girl's smile lit up the area as she accepted the hat. Pretty much made my wife's day. We saw her a while later hat securely placed on her nearly hairless pate. That was cool. Popular Post Wheelieb
Morning All, Ankle is feeling quite a bit better. Looks like all I did was mildly sprained it. Swinging a club is still not in the cards today as I can still feel a little pain while trying to swing a club. So just going to take it easy with that and forgo the range session today. Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Something I'd forgotten department: Instead of getting my game driver out of my car, I did my drills yesterday with my old Golfsmith titanium driver (Dick's bought Golfsmith in 2016 and this driver was purchased well before that, to tell you how old it is). On a couple of warmup swings, I brushed the grass and sparks went flying. I was a bit confused by that, but then I remembered that sparks were an occasional thing with titanium drivers (principle is the same as striking a match on the sandpaper strip of a matchbook) and there were even reports of such sparks starting fires. My backyard is basically a sandbox with grass on it so it makes perfect sense, once I remembered the thing about titanium. One of our cats has dislodged a paving stone in the backyard, started digging out the sand underneath and brings things to drop in the hole. Fortunately she didn't start using the hole as a litter box. Seems like I also remember that under certain conditions you could produce sparks without touching the ground, such as just hitting the ball. I'd like the samplers pack please, pretty sure you still have my address . jbern, William P, ParFore74x and 11 others 6 8 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Official Review) AI-One Milled Seven T CH (Official Review)

Popular Post Michael.Sandoval33
Top of the morning spies! Another ugly morning outside which plans to clear up nicely. We actually got back into the 70's yesterday and it was nice to not need a sweater all day. Starting the morning with the usual cup of the hot stuff and planning to hit the sim a bit later on today. Precision Golf just upgraded their system Friday and it will be my first time trying the new shiney stuff. I am leaving my putter at home today, it is safe in the bag for another week, two tops, as I really can't go to the course without a putter. So we will enjoy the last few days together before it is time... I just want it to know it will be going to a good home. With that said, already plotting and scheming around school for the week so I can fit in a good amount of course time. Should be very manageable as I have no tutoring sessions booked thus far which is okay with me. Have a great Sunday everybody! cnosil, GolfSpy_KFT, Rob Person and 11 others 14 Quote WITB Driver: Qi10 Max 10.5° Hybrid: FX Max 25°, Tsi2 21° 4i-9i: FX Max 10 Wedges: SM10 - 50° 12f, 54° 14f, 58° 14k Putter: M.Craft Type VI Ball: Pro Air Bag: Ghost Golf Maverick 14-Way Glove: Nexgen Nano-X Pro Tour+
Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good morning all and happy Sunday! Had an absolutely fantastic time at the Blake Shelton concert last night. Sang damn near every word and the performance just rocked. Getting ready to make the trek back home and then my dad will be bringing the boys back over later this afternoon. William P
Good Sunday morning all! Plenty of goings on yeterday and know all the memories made will be cherished for years to come. Beautiful weather is the order of the day, although a bit windy, and nothing on the agenda. Hopefully SWMBO will allow it to stay that way... I know there is more on the list but I do believe the important items have been taken care of. Hope everyone has a great day! cksurfdude, Cfhandyman, rkj427 and 6 others 9 Quote GT4,10 *, Ventus Black TR 6 S Velacore TSR1, 15*, TPT Power Range Fairway 17 Lo TSR2, Hybrid, 18*, TPT Power Range Hybrid 17 Lo T-200, (2023), 5-PW, SteelFiber, i95cw, S Vokey Design - 50 & 54, SteelFiber i95cw S, and Vokey S10 - 46 & 58, SteelFiber i95cw S Odyssey JAILBIRD 380 Limited Edition ELIXR (2022), MaxFli Tour S (2024)
Irish-Assassin
Great Sunday morning here in Dallas. Company asked me to come out here for two weeks so one week left. I had a Homer Simpson moment, Should have bought my clubs, so essentially when I get back to Arizona I would not have hit a golf ball for over two weeks. Just so I’m clear, you swing the bat and hit the puck, right? I wouldn't say I have the greatest amount of motivation either, I've only had the smoker two months and just now got it up and running. I need to organize the carport a little better since it's become a catch all for junk and outdoor equipment. I will say, I do love grilling and smoking. I got my first smoker as a five year anniversary gift at work and have loved it ever since. It was just a cheap electric one, but it did a wonderful job infusing meats with that smoky goodness. I am planning on doing my first smoke in a couple of weeks and doing meatloaf. I got the recipe online and it's a Jack Daniels infused one with pepper jack cheese stuffed in the middle. https://4sonrus.com/all-jackd-up-stuffed-smoked-meatloaf/ I bought my first Bradley at an auction and have used it a bunch of times for big events , daily stuff , I make smoked pulled pork for friends , family and special events- was a Journeyman Meatcutter before I became a store manager and it’s still in my blood , make my own sausage , ground beef and cut my own steaks , so strong on the smoker it’s great fun !
