It will be another scorcher today but definitely looking forward to it. Good luck to anyone getting out today and try to stay cool! love that Ryder Cup format, I find the alternate shot part the most difficult... good for you for signing up and having some fun...good luck today... Popular Post Kenny B
Good Morning everyone!! Hope you are having a super Sunday. We have a Red Flag Warning (critical fire weather conditions) today; winds 25-35mph with gusts to 45 and 15% humidity. Yesterday we drove up to Yakima (about an hour) for a family 80th birthday; nice view sitting on the tee box of the Yakima CC. On the way home a fire had started that spread smoke throughout the valley. If it’s not out, it will get worse with the winds picking up. Oh yeah, we tee off in 2.5 hours on our local desert course… no trees!! Don’t want to be off the fairways!! Good news is it’s cooler today… only 91º. Popular Post Jim Shaw
Good morning spy's Well, round 1 of the Colwood Invitational is in the books, the leader shot 64 (on a par 70) second is my buddy, he shot 68, some really good scores but then they move up quite quickly, I was 76 currently tied for 31st. Not what I was hoping for however it seems that is about where my game is right now so I am not stressing as much as I would have in the past. I got a great text from my friend and it kind of went like this... "I think you need a simpler game plan for round one and not put so much pressure on yourself. Some rehearsal and mental imagery when practicing leading up to the round and when warming up. Fairways, centre of greens and pars. You hit lots of really quality shots so you can do it." I think we all need someone who we respect to help simplify things in golf on occasion, I am going to take this to the course today and especially during the 1st. round of the tournament. Have a great day everyone... Northern Monkey, rkj427, ILMgolfnut and 13 others 14 1 1 Quote committed to performance excellence

Popular Post William P
Good Sunday morning Spies! Another scorcher in the making but not much different anywhere in the US right now... Seems to be a time for record or near record highs everywhere. Survived the spousal supporting role at the Farmer's Market yesterday, but just barely... Too hot for golf related activity today so SWMBO has some pressing indoor tasks that need immediate attention to hear her put it... Will also be getting back out in the shop and getting a couple of projects finished up and prepping for some new ones. Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Cooling off here in Mesa with today's high only 102. Humidity is up though. My CaddyDaddy Claw gloves for that testing arrived yesterday and my "unboxing" and initial post are here These things are STICKY! and fit pretty well. I am off to the course for the 11 am shotgun. I do not believe there will be more than 6 holes used for the shotgun so it will be more of a BB gun start. But because the course is so empty I can play one glove on the front and another on the back. Also on holes with specific shots or areas where I must play with my hand on the "steering wheel" , I can hit several balls, and test all three gloves for the situation. Holy crap it is raining! Popular Post EasyPutter
Good morning while it is still morning here in summertime WNY on a quiet Sunday sun is shining again after a weak front passed through giving us just about no rain after looking like it was well organized on weather radar approaching from the west - a frequent occurrence in this neck of the woods that sometimes works in reverse but almost never adverse. Hot coffee still keeping the thoughts of breakfast at bay. Yesterday's coffee lasted through the drive to Rochester and with water hydration while working on son's MG made it all the way to late afternoon when the jobs were done for pizza and lemonade at our favorite Veteran owned and run pizza bar. Jobs completed included replacing the fan with an electric pusher in front of the radiator wired and tested, radiator installed and tested, horns checked, replaced the inoperative one discovering connections were good. All done under portable shade in relentless sun with a light breeze. Gotta love summer parking lot car jobs SWMBO started the day in a mood, it's amazing how something said can cause a veritable explosion, but it is important to remember that it takes giving permission to someone for them to cause you upset and ruin an otherwise beautiful day Hope golf is a part of your day! Popular Post rkj427
Good morning Spies on what appears to be a very sunny and comfortable day as far as temperatures and humidity go here. Currently 60 degrees with a high of 80 expected, and I should be out and, on the course, a little later this morning. Our extended family gathering event yesterday was a huge success, both with better weather than the recent 90's and humid days, and attendance. Popular Post TK_
Good Morning, After careful consideration of my game, where it’s at, and my training currently, I believe I may have found my issues. Those of you not aware, my draw turned into a fade at the start of this season. This past week it turned back into a draw and yielded terrible results. I am thinking if I train specifically today and hit the range during lunch tomorrow, my fade will return. Thus, helping out my game. I prefer the fade for its control. I believe my draw returned because I was on travel 3-weeks prior to the league round and limiting my regimen. Here’s to hoping I can get back on track. Enjoy your day fellas!
