Addition to the GHIN App-Rewind 2022

I don't know how many have updated their GHIN app on their phones, but the new version (5.1.1 available just yesterday) added a feature called Rewind.  It's a graphical summary of your scoring for 2022.  Here's mine:

It's a nice little summary of what I did in 2022.  I downloaded all my scores for the last 14 years and looked at my annual average scores.  It was interesting after I threw out the year I broke my neck, my average score was 85 with a range of +.5/-1.0.  That's pretty consistent!  It says I played four courses in 2022 (one downside of living at the end of the earth in Key West).  Two of those four was actually nine holes twice when they were aerating greens this summer, one round with a friend in Ft. Lauderdale and a round at Gullane in Scotland this summer.  The rest were in Key West Golf Club.   Now you know why my tag is Golf2Much!

To add to this summary, I did break 80 six times last year, including shooting my lowest score of the year on January 1, 2022 (It was only downhill from there).  I also had my best scoring streak I've ever where I breaking 80 three times in a month (obviously yielding the 9.2 index that will haunt me for the next four months).

I saw that this morning too.  A cool little recap of every posted score from last year.  I kind of wish they would also show the bad (high score and index) with the good, but that's easy enough to look up.  Here's mine:

I hope they fixed the bugs so I can start using the GPS again. Really started to like that and then the app started crashing all the time mid-round...

@MWL_9congrats on getting better! Or at least it being reflected in your handicap. I seem to be going the opposite direction, haha. I did play 37 different courses so maybe that is the issue. I am trying to commit to a smaller number of courses this year.

THIRTY-SEVEN? That's outstanding, lol. I'm not sure I played 37 TIMES

My first calculated handicap didn't show up until Feb/March, but it was a solid 20. I'd never broken 90 until this past year, so ending where I did is a pretty awesome feeling.  Hard work paid off. Here's to breaking this year! (FWIW, The "67" is on a par-61 executive course. Best standard 18 was an 81.)

I travel for work a decent bit and usually play once or twice on a trip.

I downloaded MyGHIN but can't set it up, is it for America only?

It's pretty much US/North America only. You have to use WHS (World Handicap System).

GHIN is operated by the USGA for use within its handicap jurisdiction.  Without membership in a USGA-authorized handicap program, the GHIN app won't work.  For @Bang60, my understanding is that you manage your handicap through a Golf NZ app, which might not have the same features as the GHIN app.
