Low Spin Premium Balls for Everyone

I'd love to see the Tour Speed, as I just got fitted for it by Titleist, however, I do love the AVX and would love to see how the Maxfli Tour S shakes out. I've been primarily playing the Maxfli Tour X and really like it. My sidespin on my driver is my nemesis, so the lower the spin the better.

FWIW the AVX has always been my favorite ball and I've been playing the Maxfli Tour S as well this year, I don't notice any difference between the two other than what they cost me to buy them.

It's worth a lot. As an avid, "thrifty" (cheapskate) golfer, this is great information

That’s what I thought and why I was confused when he brought that up and said left dash was high spin

@lopey986, @JeremyD, @Brian A I have really liked the AVX and Maxfli-Tour X, I wish the Left - was more available as I tried it once and liked it, but would like more time with it; and I would have loved to try the Left dot; as a 105-110 Driver club head speed guy I have to say I find it somewhat weird that as soft as the AVX is, it love the way it plays for me; it goes just as long (or seems to by Shot Scope data) and it plays great around the greens very nicely for me.  I was a little disturbed by the Ball Lab findings for the Tour X, but after listening to the guys on NPG I am less concerned by the Ball Lab and looking forward to seeing the 2023 Testing data.  @lopey986 I feel like the Tour X is definitely more firm, but not anywhere near Top Flite XL "firm," so it plays/feels good to me all around and I agree completely that the comparable performance and $$$ savings make it a goto for me as well.

If low spin is your main goal, the TM Tour Response is worth a look. It is very straight off the tee compared to other urethane balls and works well into the wind. Once you test it with irons, you can often hit one less club into greens so the added loft helps offset some of the spin. Unless you are playing very firm/fast greens where high spin is needed for control, they behave well enough around the green to get by for many people. 

I watched a slicer pick one up he found on the course and it was a noticeable benefit off the tee when that is your miss with the spin reduction compared to other urethane balls. Accuracy off the tee is an issue for me and I have had some of my lowest rounds with these in 2023 as well as an AVX (lower flight than TM) and left dash (higher or similar).

In the same price range as the Maxfli, ERC, and Tour Response is the Wilson Triad. I have found it to perform similar to the AVX. Triad has a firmer feel, but not XLS firm. Off the tee it flies right into that middle window with a control I can't explain and hits the ground running. On approach it flies plenty high to drop and stop. Around the green it has consistent spin and is stoppable, if you're good enough to hit the one hop and stop shot. Triad has solidified a place in my bag.

CS X LS has added 20 yards to my best drives. Old TP5x player and I cannot imagine going back. Also CS X LS is much more forgiving off the tee for me, bad hooks find the rough instead of OB or another fairway...
