Announcement banners not going after away after clicking X

I've noticed the past few days that the announcement banners at the top of the page don't permanently go away after clicking the X, like they used to. Now when I click the X, they go away on that page but as soon as I navigate to another page they pop back up again. Previously clicking the X as acknowledgement would dismiss them permanently, now they just keep popping up and stacking up.

This is happening on Chrome desktop & mobile, as well as Opera and Firefox on multiple computers.

For me, it is Only happening on the hackmotion test banner and now the max Gregor test.  All others have gone away after I close them

Part of the newest Update Invison added. 

I am looking for a fix, as they do not follow all the way down which is nice, but can understand the annoyance. 

May just mean we limit them or find a different method.

I do not understand the counters for posts.  It seems my profile has stayed at 28 for two months.  I know I have posted over 30 in past 2 months.

Looking at the historical posts in you profile the count is correct.   If you applied for various tests or commented in the application threads those don’t count as posts.

As @cnosil pointed out posts in the Testers Wanted section do not count towards post count. The reactions there will count, however as it is built on a different platform outside of the main forum software the profile and post counting system is not recognized. 

For Forum Staff we actually prefer this as well as it shows or represents those who are posting not just in the testers wanted threads, but outside in where the main conversations are happening vs (not at all saying this is you - making a general statement) the pick me pick me or I would be a great tester for this because... and This is a great testing opportunity type posts. Not to say good posts dont happen there, but the majority are in that sort of category.

Use the search, or check on the recent content Stream and it's normally on the first page!
