So, what changed from week 1 Tim?  You had us as a tie in our match, but now it shows a loss?

Thanks @Q22Golf for letting me sub in for week 2.  Looks like I was able to help push the Aces a bit closer to the goal.  Didn't feel like it was my best round, hopefully @BassMaestro was able to cover a few of the holes that got away from me.

Not quite sure how to read the results column.  I don't watch much sportsball on tee-vee and have only played in singles tournaments.  Should I read it how 1A vs 2A and 1B vs 2B did against each other?

Thank you for subbing! I really appreciate it, @Mr. Mushball!

Hrrm, if this a world cup it's pretty obvious which group is the Group of Death... spoiler, it's ours. @GolfSpy_APH, knowing that everything comes down to this week, it's unlikely I go with the strategy option I discussed with you this weekend, it doesn't seem just.

EDIT: I guess I'll let the cat out of the bag. I was thinking of playing my home course from the front tees, making it a course handicap of scratch against a par 70 at just over 4000 yards in an attempt to go absolutely birdie crazy. However, seeing how @USMCSnyper is seemingly finding good success at Northern Pines, maybe the magic is heading to Cicero.

That checks out!

I have that Birdie Blasters lost twice in week one:  1 up in match A and 2 and 1 in match B.  In week 2, you split with In The Cup Kids with "the kids" taking match A 3 and 2 and Birdie Blasters winning match B 2 and 1.  That give you a record of one win, three losses.

The original scoring was a halve in the A match for week 1.  Wish that the comparisons were posted to see how that comes about.

To participants,

I have a scoring change and updated standings to announce.

A score submission was inadvertently posted referencing a wrong course handicap for a Week Two match.  The resulting correction resulted in a change in the following match play results:   in Match A Golf Cart Posse defeated Midwest Aces 2 up.

Below are the updated Week Two results and standings as well as the overall team standings.

I'm sorry for the confusion.

This update just made the Vardon Division a little tighter and gave more meaning to this week's Golf Cart Posse versus Distinguished Gentlemen matches!

It was not all @Golf2Much’s fault. I tried to handicap scores on GolfShots last week, but didn’t know my GHIN number to sync the accounts. I didn’t realize it just picks a number. It was listed correctly in the other thread.  Problem solved this week.

@Golf2Much Wanted to let you know that @Pinetree will be subbing for @Shapotomous this week. Shap found himself in the middle of a Honey-do project at the behest of SWMBO and even his judgement isn't questionable enough to skip it for golf. Thank you Pinetree for jumping in for me this week.  It actually isnt a honey do list project, i would probably use QJ and find a way to get in 18 around that.

Its a project for a customer that is about 40% of my business.  Even i cant use QJ and plug in 18 rather than work for them!  They had to move it up a few weeks and wanted it done by this weekend....and told me about it Tues morning...and it is at least a 3 day project!  😱. But they are good people so i moved around a few things and got rolling today.

If you check out the Week 25 VCT thread and see the great scores being posted by Match Play participants, you can tell it's the last week of divisional play and golfers are making their final push for the playoffs!  So far, we have 14% of the participant scores posted.  That's a great start.

Giving everyone would like to get the round robin divisional play results as soon as possible, I'd appreciate those who have not posted to get your scores in as soon as you can.  This past Monday there was a good deal of seeking out scores as the posting deadline approached.  It would be great to get the scores in and the results posted earlier on Monday.

If the first nine posted scores represent what we can expect from the rest of the field, it's going to be an interesting next five days!

Good luck all!

Tuesday after our league 9, I decided to make the turn and keep going so I could at least guarantee an early round and try to get out later in the week, if needed. Not a spectacular round, but very solid and certainly better than the garbage I had to post last week. 40/41 for an 81, net 73 (+2).

Thanks to @J7Hawkins for inviting me to sub in for this week. I've posted my round in the Week 25 channel. I'm happy that my ball-striking, especially driver, was pretty much there. Just got in trouble on the greens - could read the speed or the breaks very wellz unfortunately.

Gross 92, net 75. It was fun though, approaching the round as a match play, rather than normal stroke. Hope I get another chance to sub, and definitely want in for the next match play event!

If you look at it fast, it's easy to think that.  I had to go back and do a double take.  Heaven knows how many scorecards I've processed over the last three weeks!  Then I saw that both images have more than 9 holes shown.  The 11th hole is highlighted twice.

@J7Hawkins who is he subbing for?  I thought I seen scores from your whole team already. Although no card from Blake I believe

@GolfSpy_BNG you’re correct, I thought our team was going to need a sub but it seems like I’ve been proven wrong! Either way, thanks to @Paco Chan for stepping up!

All good.  I haven’t been paying as much attention today as I’d like to and thought I may have missed it lol
