What Golf Ball Are You Playing In 2024?

Recommended Posts

I made the switch to ODIN golf and the X1 version of their ball in December, and will be playing this ball in 2024.  I was very happy with the experience.  During the review @Jordan ODIN Golf was very involved following our posts and quick to respond for any questions.  See my full review here:

I’ll be rocking Odin X1 this year again with a few other balls mixed in! I would like to test around to see if there is a ball I could use in stride with Odin but with all the things I feel that are yet to come with Odin (possibly new colors light up balls designs and of course I want to collect all the logo balls that are available on the site) lots of great people I have met on instagram!

The Z Star XV is my favorite ball I’ve played in decades. I have two dozen left until they’re out of commission.

I may try the diamond this season but have no concrete reason to switch. Maybe to gain a couple extra yards off the tee.

I still have Kirkland, 3piece from last year. I’m happy with it’s characteristics. I also received this years model. So I will be able to compare results though out the season because I never loose golf balls. (Unless I’m on the course)😎

I tried the Maxfli Tour S at the very end of 2023 and I liked how it performed, so I'll be starting the year with that one (in yellow) and we'll see how things go from there.

I wanted to like these so bad (Had the divides), but I found them incredibly short off the tee compared to my other balls.

LOVED them around the green though.

Every ball is short off the tee for me, I see no difference in distance between these and any other ball I've tested.  It's definitely a softer ball, so I imagine at higher swing speeds there is loss of distance.

Chrome soft X LS.  Even with my average swing speed it still goes miles and holds greens with zero issue.

plus it’s yellow.  I play yellow balls and prov don’t come in yellow so callaway it is.

i really… really like them.

I discovered these late last year and will be playing them this year except I'm going with white and the 360* stripe. I really noticed a difference off the tee and around the greens.

I'm playing Srixon Soft Feel Orange. I see the orange ball so much better! I'm 68 and still have a pretty good game. No established handicap. Bought them at a great sale price. Got 4 dozen (new) for right at $50. Play ProV's when I find them, win them or get them as a gift, but I've found the Srixon Soft Feel to be more than adequate. Not quite the stopping power, but we'll worth it for me with the price and color!

Can I just recommend the Odin X1 to you. It’s a lower price point and matches on all marks against the ProV1. And you get a credit towards the next purchase if you buy through their website. It’s a great ball and will save you some $.

Lol funny you say that, I have a dozen of those as well....😂

I have 6 dozen Z Star 💎’s to start my season after the end of year sale. I do plan to try out the Odin X1 early this spring to see how they match up and determine if a ball switch is in my future. Hard to beat the price when I can get them at the Buy 2 Get 1 free price.

I’ve been using the left dash as well. Golfballhouse.com has them for $30 for 2 dozen. Free shipping and they are in great condition if you don’t mind using a recycled ball. They are not refurbished! It’s a legit left dash not a cheap ball painted and marked as a left dash. Just a suggestion to keep the price down a bit.

Interesting! 4A condition or 5A?

EDIT: I did not know this site existed, absolutely great find! I do not mind playing recycled golf balls. When my stock runs out I know where I'll be headed!

I have a stock of Maxfli Tour S and Maxfli Tour X balls from the sales last year, so I'll be gaming the Tour S when it's colder this spring and fall. Then Tour X balls during the summer when it's hot.

I would really like to give the ODIN X1 ball a go at some point this year based on the forum reviews. I also will probably end up getting some Vice Pro Drip Balls as gifts and keep some for myself 😊. I love the drip look Vice has going.

The site says near mint AAAA. So 4A would be the option. I believe that’s the highest rating that they offer. I’ve personally purchased these twice and they are as advertised. Also try ballhawker.com for recycled balls. A little cheaper but don’t have left dash. Need to spend $80 to get free shipping. Great selection

The free shipping on the left dash is awesome! I've got a stock of about 10 dozen total golf balls currently 😂 so I am set for quite awhile...at least until I get bored and decide I need more left dash as that stock is the lowest of my inventory 😜

My go to for the past three years has been the Maxfli Tour X, and I have a couple of dozen left over from last season.  I like the ball a lot, but I'm also interested in giving their Tour S (soft) ball a try.  I also just bought five dozen Snell MTB Prime X that Snell was closing out, because they're last year's balls (really good deal, 5 doz for $99).  I've played Snell in the past, and I look forward to giving these a shot.

After testing the Odin X1 it earned a place in the bag. The Odin X1 is an outstanding ball. Great company and love their attitude towards regular golfers. They deliver your idea quickly and give you 20 percent off the next order. So, the Odin X1 is my 2024 ball.

Play like a champion today!

I played Snell golf balls for years and really liked the feel and distance but when they shifted to another factory I just didn't feel like they were the same quality. I shifted to the Wilson Staff golf balls and have been very happy with them. I like the bright yellow and the slight matte to them makes it easy to focus on them while swinging and find them on the fairway. The feel is great and the distance is comperable to Snell. They are a little more expensive than Snell but at the end of the season they had a buy two get one free special which made them about equal to Snell's reduced price. Additionally, I can buy them at my local golf shop-bonus!

I have been playing the Maxfli Tour X golf ball for the past 2 years. I find it has a more consistent flight & spin for me that the Tour. Plus, you can get a great deal at least once a year to stock up on them for a great price. My first transition into urethane golf balls was Srixon z star because Walmart a few years ago have 2 generation old still for sale for $24.99. So I stocked up with a few dozens. When I ran out, I think that's when I came across MGS first promo deal with Maxfli and the 2021 ball test and stocked up and never looked back.

I'm still mostly gaming the Bridgestone Tour BX, but recently I used the Callaway Chrome Tour X Triple Track and really liked them. This year I'd really like to try out the Maxfli Tour balls just because it's hard to beat that price and the quality isn't far off from some of the top names
