Reached the St.Louis burbs without further incident after our apparent near-miss on approach this afternoon in Charlotte. Got in a Fit For Golf workout in my room after dinner. Unable to get together with @skraeling; it turns out we're on opposite ends of the STL metro area, probably 50 miles apart. Wasn't gonna make him drive or make me drive.

Has anyone seen these brackets before.  Any idea where I can buy these brackets?  It seems like a great use of an alignment stick.  I could try to make one, but it seems quite clever.  Please let me know.

They look homemade, but shelving brackets will serve the purpose.

Good evening everyone. It was a good night for mens league tonight. I felt like something clicked on the back nine on Sunday at Wild Horse and my last 36 holes have continued the trend. First I shoot even par yesterday and then I shoot +1 today. It isn't always pretty but my drives are mostly on point and my approach game is better than it has been of late. Only thing I'm still inconsistent with is my putter but I think that is more due to going back and forth between the new Scotty and my Odyssey. It's time to fully commit back to the Odyssey for the time being and work with the Scotty on the side to get used to the different balance and feel. Until then, going to ride this hot streak as long as I can.

We lost by one!!! Good evening spies! What a round I had. Been a long time since I shot a 90. Still had fun though. Off the tee struggles but I know why. Saturday is VGA so we’ll see. 

Hot as hell too. Windy at about 20mph made it like a hair dryer. Soooo need some water and some rest. Hope you all had a great day!!!

Sucks to hear about tee struggles again. Hope that elbow heals soon. Watch that shallow takeaway. Slow night at the bar. Already starting my shift beer and we don’t close for another 90 minutes.

It was more the wind than anything else, but still playing the fade a bit. Still hitting driver off the deck though!!! The issue with the fade is I’m not getting my right hand over the top. Too shallow like you’re saying. Funny because I’ve always been steep until this year.

Spent the later part of the afternoon and evening walking around the Wisconsin Dells downtown area near the river.

A bunch of gift shops, restaurants and bars populated that area.

Saw this shirt in a gift shop window and immediately thought of @Erin B. 

Headed home sometime in the morning.

Good Friday evening spies! Getting a storm through right now, gonna rain a bit then pass on. May hurt my plans for a quick 9 but that’s ok, I’ve played 6 rounds in the last 7 days and have the VGA tomorrow in Thornton CO. Then a round with new friends on Sunday. Made it back home fairly safe, much quicker than expected.  Waiting for my wife to meet at the car dealership to drop her car off to get checked out.

Ended up having a rock hit the windshield and now have a 6 inch crack across it (thankfully out of line of sight), but this is the third time I’ve had a windshield incident (prior 2 were just chips and could be filled).

Busy evening for me. Was able to cut out of work early and then went and helped my dad move a solid wood crap table top for his summer project. Grabbed our truck and trailer and made a pit stop to set up my in laws new TV then went and picked up all of my trim from paint for my upstairs project that I’m crawling on. Need to kick that into overdrive as I’m on a pretty tight time table so that’s what tomorrow will consist of. Have a great night everyone! Cheers.

Good evening Spies from back at the home base in Michigan.

Travel day, and for the most part it was good, with only the usual delays around Chicago, although not as bad as anticipated. Only took a little over an hour to navigate that today, although they still had a lot of traffic and construction there.

Made it back home about 8:30PM EST, and left Wisconsin about 9:00AM CST, so a stop for lunch and then gas once I made it back into Michigan wasn't too bad.

Picture of mileage, average speed, and MPG from the ride home. Not bad for a Corvette.

@Erin B  Have you been to the Alibi Wood Fired Pizza in Laramie?  Just watched Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  The pizza looks fantastic, but the Rueben sandwich was enough to make me want to make another road trip!

Got to play 18 yesterday at the Summit golf course, played pretty well, had some great iron shots missed a couple eagle putts. But overall happy with the round. Spent some time with the family and now chilling with a nice ice cold Yeungling, I’ll post my round later on an then more Exputt testing.

It’s awesome! Cmon out and we’ll play Jacoby and the Cheyenne courses. There’s a great restaurant in Laramie called Born in a Barn that’s fantastic as well. You can stay with us in Cheyenne. Laramie is only 45 minutes.

Good evening Spies from what turned out to be a warm and humid Michigan Summer Saturday.

I did manage to get both cars cleaned up today, although I brought them into the garage and out of the baking sun to get the interiors done.

SWMBO went to a beauty pageant where her youngest granddaughter competed and won the title this evening. She will be Miss St. Clair Shores here in Michigan for the next year.

Talent was also part of the pageant, and she has performed as a singer, so that was her choice.

More heat and humidity tomorrow, and our plans include an afternoon out with my son and his family at an outdoor event not too far from home.

Made tee times for Wednesday and Frida next week, we are supposed to see rain and storms again Monday through Tuesday.

Hope all here had great Saturday's and were able to complete whatever they had in their plans.

Made it home safely! 422 miles took just over 8 hours due to a combination of Atlanta bypass construction and some nasty storms that were literally blinding with zero visibility. 

Last 10 miles I felt a vibration from the trailer. Pulled into the driveway and immediately smelled a melting scent. The bearing cover was gone, wheel covered in grease, and a bald tire. Wiggled the rim and I'm lucky the whole hub didn't come off the axle. The spindle nut was also very hot!

  I'm guessing the bearing failed. Thank goodness I made it home without incident. 

Had an amazing week with some amazinf people. Miss the mountains already.

Good evening spies! Already cozied up in bed looking at some golf equipment online. My putting has been awful lately and I have really been considering getting a putter fitting done. I may swing by tomorrow if I have time. Tomorrow, I am golfing in the morning, then I have my annual physical, and then I have an orientation for my new house. My wife and I close on our first house a week from tomorrow, so there is a lot of stuff to get done before we move. Golf is going to be my saving grace during this time and I am looking forward to soak up every moment.

Good evening Spies on what was a hot and humid Sunday here. Low 90's for temps. with 80% humidity.

Spent a good part of the afternoon and early evening at the Packard Proving Grounds here with my son and grandson. They had a Hispanic event going on to raise money for a church, and although this is now more like a private park, they had Mariachi bands, vendors, and food vendors and food trucks.

Rain in the forecast for the next couple days, so my tee times are Wednesday and Thursday before we get more rain later in the week.

Couple pictures here, will post more in the "Good Morning" thread in the morning.

@Preeway best of luck with your insurance rates, just hoping that they are NOT as high as the rates in Michigan are for young drivers.

Never seen them before, but they look easy enough to make or find. Have to do some research because I definitely understand the concept behind them. Let us know if you find them.

@KC Golf. They look custom made by that course. However,  you can get some cheap birdfeeder shepherd poles, and screw the top into the bases (not using the middle sections)

Or use some 2' sections of 1/2" steel rod and bend them at a hardware store.

then lay anything across them (conduit pipe, broom stick, pvc, etc)

Hey y'all and Good Evening!

Did a few small projects around the house this morning (after getting up nice and late!) and then a little yard work out front (accompanied by lots of sweating!). Then catching up on a few forum threads.

And then after some back and forth between my 'just focus on playing with what you have now' side vs the 'but we like to test out new toys especially irons' side .. the latter won out and I ended up clicking on Sign Up for the PXG irons test. I had a set of 0211s which weren't bad and probably should've kept but that 'new toys' side won out last year as I tried out several different iron models before settling on the current Sub 70s.

Do I "need" new irons? Will I play "better" with new irons?? Can humanity ever end famine and achieve world peace???

..sheesh cmon fuhgeddabouddit these are imponderable questions that philosophers and pundits will pronounce upon and debate for many ages yet to come.....
