@Bubba1985 - There are a lot of rangefinders out there and all are competing for our dollars.  I still use the Precision Pro NX-7 Pro that I tested for MGS many years ago.  It's survived a few drops, rain, and day in and day out use.  It plain works so I'm looking at the Titan Elite to carry on the same tradition and them some.

@MattWillGolf - That was the one of the features that I was really interested in, giving me not only pin distance but front and back yardages to be able to make a better decision on what shot to hit into the green.

@phil S - I toggled back and forth between several devices (skycaddie SG-5 from way back when, all the phone apps out there, multiple range finders, the skycaddie LX-5 watch and a few other watches as well).  Each has it's own strengths and weaknesses.

@russtopherb - realized I forgot to respond to this - I'm so paranoid about leave the NX-7 behind so hopefully this feature works as advertised.

I have been supremely blessed to have not lost any any otherequipment (Wedges, gloves, speakers, phones, wallet, towels)... however, the ONLY thing i HAVE lost, is a rangefinder. I bought the Amazon one mentioned in my introduction, I bought a magnet strap for it, and the black on black on black cart pole, slipped my mind when I was emptying the cart. 

This one I'm testing supposedly has a LOCATE me feature. I think it's great, but I also hope my wife doesn't figure out that she can locate me via my rangefinder during the week.

Very excited for the opportunity. I will be comparing to a Blue Tees Series 2 Pro. I also use a Garmin Fenix 6x watch for the front/back distances. This will be an awesome opportunity to have everything in one place and potentially eliminate the need to wear my Garmin watch during the round.

I wish I had this for this weekend to test. I have one of my cousins that plays women’s d2 golf visiting and I’m taking her around to a few courses this weekend. But I will get use out of this. Anyone have tips of photographing through the rangefinder eyepiece?

Use your phone's macro setting to take a view through the eyepiece.  I usually take multiple pictures and choose the best one to post.

It looks like the testers will be approaching this review from several different perspectives... We have @RonnieB approaching it from a statistical perspective, @Just_the_Chip and I doing some comparisons between the Titan Elite and other range finders, and @LeftyMatt89 looking at the feature set of the unit!  If you can think of any other questions you want answered, let us know!

First impressions/unboxing is up for the Precision Pro Titan Elite Rangefinder on my post. 

My summary after comparing some initial data below (also in post)

To summarize the initial first impressions with data. The Precision Pro Titan Elite is roughly two yards short of the Garmin GPS distances and within one yard of the laser shooting. The Precision Pro locks on noticeably quicker on the course and the flag lock buzz is stronger than the Blue Tees. The Titan Elite made an outstanding first impression with the speed of the laser and the functionality of incorporating my current two devices (Garmin/rangefinder) into one functional product.

Little update. Played today and I left the rangefinder greenside. I quickly opened the app and saw it was at the last hole, walked over and grabbed it. I had it make a pinging noise and it was very easy to find. I am not sure how it fell since I was walking, however Precision Pro made an awesome feature with a “Find My” addition to the app.

I was playing around with the find my rangefinder feature. It is absolutely a great feature. I was testing the rangefinder this weekend on a golf vacation trip and my cousin lost her rangefinder and was calling all over the proshop etc. I ended up, showing her that my rangefinder was under her car seat. 

I do wish the beeping was much louder though.

I wanted to give an update since I just posted my First impression (link below). I got use the Titan on Saturday for 9-holes and I am very impressed with the accuracy when compared to other brands. Not only am I finding it to be more accurate, but it doesn't take as long to lock on the target and get a yardage reading. More to come on accuracy, but so far so good!

I was at the range yesterday evening doing a virtual round and I noticed something that I thought was relatively nice. I am an android user, but my friend has an apple phone. We hooked the Titan to his phone and it synced literally within second where as it took several minutes to get the Titan to hook to the pixel fold. Just an observation, but Precision and Apple work very well together.

I can confirm with an Apple device as soon as I start a round it is as soon as I press the power button the Titan Elite is connected. It has a great feature and I hope it it gets to Android soon too.

Same experience. The initial connection was the fastest bluetooth connection experience I've ever seen. Subsequent connecting is amazing. It's immediately detected.

I didn't want to start a whole new thread for this and since I figured a lot of people will be reading this once for info about the Titan Elite rangefinder, I thought it would be helpful to share my recent experience with Precision Pro customer service...

I picked up an NX9 Slope recently through a charity tournament. Everything was fine with it until last week when right in the middle of a round some weird spots appeared on the lens. I tried cleaning them of but found that they were on the inside and they almost seemed like burnt spots. I reached out to precision pro and even though I had no receipt or proof of purchase, they (without questions) sent me a replacement. They also told me that they didn't even want the original back... They said I could keep it or recycle it. This is some of the best customer service I've experienced in quite some time and wanted to give kudos to the company. They've made me a Precision Pro customer for life.

I played Bear Trap Dunes in Delaware Tuesday. I took the Titan with me and my brother in law had his rangefinder. Although I cannot use the app since I have an android, I was able to hit those black and red flags even with the 20+ mph wind we had. I'm still impressed with the accuracy and how quick I can lock on a target.

MY FIRST REVIEW IS UP!

Extremely Happy and thankful to post up my review of the Titan Elite. It was such a cool experience putting it through it paces, seeing my friends reactions to it, as well as letting other people on the course take a look at it as well. 

I TRIED SO HARD, to not keep it wordy, but at the same time, I wanted people like me who like to research and dive into some depth. If anything, read my conclusion with the pros and cons! Also, it is really really really hard to get a picture with a 3 camera iphone through the lens of a rangefinder. I'm still working on getting better photos. 

I am open to all questions here or DM's! The exciting part is another Rangefinder just came out with similar features, that I will be testing (NOT MGS test, just my own private testing) getting sometime in September. So please expect an update on this as well in the coming months.

@Just_the_Chip - agree.  They need to make the sound much louder to make sure it's heard.

The feature is a long time coming. I know people buy special covers that allow for an apple airtag etc. But this does give I think live updates of it;s location as long as it is on. Which is tough because if you left it attached to a golf cart and it shuts off, you'll see it's last know location. A remote on feature would be IDEAL. But what a great thought.

That is awesome! I am glad the Android connectivity improved throughout the test.
