What Brands Or Clubs Are You Most Excited About in 2025?

Recommended Posts

This came up during our community call last night, but what clubs are you eager to see in 2025? Do you think there will be any groundbreaking technology? Anything wild or crazy that we could have never seen coming or will it be pretty standard with a slow progression of this years equipment being tweaked to make it just a little bit better?

Is there a brand you are most excited for?

With so many manufacturers pushing out multitudes of club releases this year, it's hard to believe there will be anything dynamic left for 2025!

I see a spike in DTC brands upgrading their club options more than anything.

Perhaps we will see a release of adjustable irons? Since every other club available now has adjustable heads, why not them too?

Just an old newbie golfer, trying to learn and improve 1 club at a time.

I’m probably most highly anticipating Titleist and Taylormade irons refreshes for 2025. Both the P series lines and T series lines should be coming and it’s definitely going to have my attention. Irons in general are what I am most looking forward to in 2025!

I'm expecting Takomo is going to take a huge leap forward in 2025. Their marketing machine has taken over the YouTube professionals and influencers space, signing deals with a lot of great Tube golf professionals, like the BryanBros, BustaJack and latest Kwon (old GoodGood). Looking at a big brand like Taylormade marketing has a significant part how popular clubs are going to be. For Takomo goes get more for less with the same quality as the biggies. I was one of the first getting the Takomo's in my area and hearing more and more players about buying Takomo as well. Very curious how Takomo will evolve in 2025 and especially looking forward to their new driver and woods.

I am Interested in the possible release of new irons from Callaway.  Also, curious about what Srixon will offer.

I’m usually behind the curve in club releases…but agree with @GolfSpy_KFT on the Titleist and TM irons.  Was really intrigued by Morikawa’s P7CB irons…would be interested if these actually come out for public release.

While the brand could be Cobra, LAB, LA Golf, Krank, Avoda, or some other unknown brand, I am most excited to see what ever irons and woods/driver that Bryson DeChambeau comes out with. While I know it is unlikely, I have my fingers crossed it will be available in lefty. I know both Krank and LA have that options.

Currently what is in the bag:

Driver: Switch between a Callaway XR16 5 degree long drive driver, Titleist TS2 driver, or TaylorMade Mini Burner

Upper end of the back I switch out between:

Titleist U510 1 iron, Mizuno MP20HMB 3 iron bend down to 2 iron loft, Titleist TS2 3 and 5 wood, Callaway Epic 3 and 4 hybrid

Iron are Mizuno MP-20 SEL 3-PW

Wedges are Vokey SM8's 46, 50, 54, 58, 62

Putter(s): switch between Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 Special or a Odyssey Tank 7 putter that I converted to an armlock putter.

All grips are Jumbo Max XL

Ball switched between ProV1 x, ProV1 left dash, and TP5 X

I must confess I'm not excited about any new brands or clubs.  I think if your clubs are five years old or less, then any improvements in technology are not going to significantly affect your game.  If you just want new toys and can afford them, then go for it.  Otherwise, save your money for more balls, gloves, and greens fees.

He definitely is on the cutting edge of technology!  I think we’ll see more offerings in the 3D printed space!

I agree. I  think the 3D space is going to become big. I think the lab putter concept mixed with SIK face once could be deadly regardless of if it is armlock, broomstick, counter weighted, or normal, interested in seeing long down the road if  degree of face curvature is an additional thing you get fitted for based on swing speed, and curious to see long down the road if you no longer go in and buy a 9 iron, 8 iron with stock lofts and a lies or if the lofts and lies will be custom to fit you into what a good spin would be for a 9 iron. It opens a lot up but it will be a slow process of having everything released and slowly building a understanding and support to broaden the supply and demand. I dont think this will have for years but it is fun to think about.

My biggest need is a new Driver.  I currently play a Callaway BIG Bertha Fusion.  Club is about 8 years old.  I am looking forward to trying out the Titleist GT’s.  I am on the fence between the GT or just getting the reduced price TSR2.  I plan on hitting both to see which one gives me the biggest bang for the buck.

I’m more so looking forward to some of the new smaller company’s. More so, Takomo and if they will come out with every type of club, and if they will stay as affordable as they are currently.

Hybrid: Callaway Rogue ST Max

I am really looking forward to the new GT lineup! I got an early look at these and they look absolutely amazing.

I helped "fit" a couple of my colleagues into the TSR lineup this year and they absolutely love their woods.

Also, I am definitely looking forward to see what Srixon has coming out as well, their ZX MkII lineup was amazing and I am definitely looking forward to what they are going to be bringing out!

I have to imagine LAB has a product or two up their sleeve for 2025.

As far as the OEMs, I’d say Ping woods and Callaway iron refreshes.

Having Sub 70 come out with some fresh products would be great. Having them have more of a digital presence with influencers would also give them more popularity (like Takomo, Stix & New Level).

I really wished Sub 70 capitalized more on John Daly using their irons more. A tour pro using DTC clubs should have disrupted the market a little...

Known by friends as the tinkerer with my clubs. I enjoy doing my own R&D on the course.

Since I have replaced driver, irons, wedges and putter in the past 18 months I'm hoping nothing comes out that meets my eye. 🙂

I'm at a point where it will be time to replace my fairway woods as they are passing the 5 year old mark and get a lot of play.  Honestly I will more than likely just go with something from the Ping G series a series or so behind the newest one to save a few bucks.  These clubs have been money for me so no need to reinvent the wheel.

Driver: Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  R flex   - 44.25

Fairways:  Ping G410 5, 7, 9 wood  Alta CB red 65 R flex

Hybrid:  Ping G410  26 degree  Alta CB Red 70 R flex

Irons: Ping G430  7-PW, 45, 50 Alta CB black 65 soft R flex

Wedges:  Ping 195 S54, E58

Wedges and irons are - 1/2” and one degree flat

Putter: Sacks Parente Duke 32.5”

Ball: Titleist Pro VI or Callaway Chrome Soft X ls

While not at the same time I was fit for every club in my bag as well as the Pro VI ball. I use the chrome soft x ls on my league course.  It has much softer softer greens than the club that I belong to.

I’m on a mission to shoot my age - lifetime lowest round is 66 and I’m currently 67.

A bit of my bias is showing here, but I would love to see what PXG will do with their next set of irons. If the jump between generations of Gen 6 driver and Black Ops is an indication of what may happen, I am fired up to see what comes. That, and I am curious if PXG would have a softer addition to their golf balls. Love the Xtreme golf balls but were too spinny and hard for my taste.

I am hoping from a grip perspective that Jumbomax offers large in the str8 line or for Lampkin to get oversized sonar + hero's or some new oversized colorways in sonar plus in stock.  Would love to see if lab comes out with something new too as a Lab putter will probably be my next big purchase as I just refreshed my irons with the T-350's and updated Driver and Woods recently too.

Cleveland bringing a players iron back out with DG300/X100 shafts, satin finish with subdued badging, D4 swingweight, and GP Tour velvet midsize +4 grips as standard.  Sparse since the CG-16 Tour and 588TT.  Match it up with the RTX wedges.

I just ordered a new set of the Wilson Dynapower Forged Irons .   Wilson had a demo day and brought their new  fitting tool and. I was super impressed .  My ball speed was greater , my carry was greater , and they were very forgiving .  They offer a graphite shaft which I selected .  I tested them against 3 other brands and Wilson came out on top.  Should be here in 4 weeks.

Having used the new TaylorMade P790's throughout this season, I am excited about the relaunch of the P770 and even the new 7-CB irons. The 790's were a big update this year, and I can only imagine that they are bringing that level of flexibilty into their lower handicap ironsets.
