I am 2 inches from 2 holes-in-one this week. Today, there was a group letting us play through. it was 155 yards and dead into the wind. The group letting us through said it was a two club wind. I hit three extra clubs and hit a 4 iron that stopped the width of a ball from the hole.

 

The same hole, but earlier this week, if I would have been the one on the green it would have fallen in when the flag was removed the ball would have fallen in the hole but this other guy removed the flag. My ball was embedded in the side of the cup but our course uses a thin white plastic cup liner above the actual cup and even after the flag was removed it did not fall in. By rule it was not a hole-in-one but I know it would have fallen if I had removed the flag. If that cup liner was not there the ball would have fallen into the hole but it had bent and was holding the ball out. and the ball did not come to rest below the putting surface.

 

Maybe someday I will have one go in the hole.

Just a few weekend highlights for you fellas. Friday night on my Bday Nidine had arranged for people from work to roll down to a local pub to watch the hockey game.

 

On Saturday however I was surprised with a penthouse overlooking the waterfront. Then a trip to a local bar for dinner, drinks and pool (ran my first table 3 drinks deep) And then it was back to the hotel for snacks, drinks and stories with only my closet lifelong friends.

 

Wish you all could have joined us!

I love Star Trek the original series. The Bl-uRay box set is on sale for $91 right now, should I buy with the risk that I may not watch it often enough. Or is this one of those must own scenarios of nostalgia you gotta have?

On here, I get treated like I'm normal(HaHa, does that sound great ), and It takes my mind off it. Seriously, these group sessions are kinds depressing. I'd try to lighten 'em up, but it's almost like some people HAVE to be depressed. It sux.

Nah, it's like anything, you'll have peaks & valleys. There's really not much goin on, though most the guys check in. I have another group therapy session tonight, and believe it or not, the therapist asked me to come cuz it's the first one for a lot of these people. I already fulfilled my promise to my mom on attendin a few, though the guy's decent enough, so I'm goin.

 

Plus, they have pretty good munchies, lol. And if you remember the las time I went(that was what, 80-90 pages go, HaHa?), I told em about usin this sight as my "therapy." Well, the therapist went online & got like half a dozen cancer "support sites." But I told him that those are nothin like this site or somethin that I'd use. Why the hell do I wanna talk to a bunch of people who have what I have.

Have been a part of the site for about 2 months now and RP was one of the first (if not THE first) to welcome me with open arms. Was aware you were sick/recovering but never felt it my place to say anything since I was a newbie and well this thread is extremely long and its tough to read 150+ pages Want to wish you the best on the road to full recovery and I understand how being made to feel normal is sometimes all we want during the day. F'ng golf galaxy. Clubs won't be ready till Monday but it only rained here today and was 37 degrees so my oldest and I got to the range.

I had a lot of catching up to do. I think I'm still recovering from Dan-o's bday. I've been swamped lately prepping for a wedding coming up in April that I'm doing. Just popping in to say hello.

 

Haven't done much in the way of golf lately but I'm gonna be renewing my membership at our Steve Nash gym and get my fit on. No more dawdling. My goal is to lose 15 lbs and get back down to my goal weight. Been slacking lately.
