Does anyone know the progression of the MX line?

 

Such as the MX-23 became the MX-25 which became the ????? and so on?

Looks like most of them are listed here. With the exception of the new stuff in the past year or so.

OK...so there are 3 distinct MX lines?

 

23->25->200->JPX Pro

 

17->19->100->JPX

 

900->950->1000->MP53

All I know is that I know the MX900 and MX950 are not really a progression, but they were released around the same time... the only difference is that the 900 is 3-PW and the 950 is 5-PW withe a 3H and 4H...

The MP line has been consistent for as long as most can remember.

 

If memory serves, the MX/JPX things was largely a matter of geography. Clubs were marketed in Japan as JPX, and MX in the USA and, I believe, Europe. At some point (right about the time the JPX-800 came out), Mizuno decided to unify the nomenclature, and so functionally what happened is the other global lines adopted the Japanese model names.

 

So very short answer:

 

JPX=MX since 2010 or so
